DD normally wakes between 1 and 4 AM for a bottle (EP, 10 weeks). Recently, she has been refusing to go back to sleep. I work 8-5 and DH is a farmer. I sat up with her last night from 1:30 until after 4:00. I gave her the usual 4 ounce bottle, burped her, changed her diaper, and wrapped her back up. No dice. Tried feeding more, she would spit it up. Tried burping more, nothing. Changed diaper again. Took her to our room thinking maybe she was too warm, nothing. I don't talk (just "shh" sounds if she gets worked up) or make eye contact, and the only light is a night light. I'm running out of ideas and working on payroll with 3 hours of sleep is not a good idea. Anyone have any other ideas?
Re: Getting back to sleep after MOTN feeding
Never thought I would be a co sleeper but it helps us get the maximum sleep and I think that's better than staying up half the night!
Eta- I also have a white noise app on my iPad that plays all night long on a thunderstorm. It helps us all sleep!
