How many weeks: 20 weeks!! I think that's a banana!

How are you feeling? I've been feeling very good physically this week. We finally told family and friends this week so have lost some sleep because I am so afraid of jinxing it. Putting it out there in public makes me feel so vulnerable.

Appointments/milestones: We had our anatomy scan last week and all looks great with our baby boy. We feel so blessed to finally get to this point. My grandmother is taking me shopping tomorrow and we even did some research at a baby store yesterday. My husband was super overwhelmed but we learned a lot about prices and the large variety of baby stuff that is available for sure.

Thoughts/vents: I can't believe that baby is half baked! It's crazy! I have started to feel him move around this past week or so and it's incredible. I still check him on my doppler because I am crazy but it makes me feel so much better to hear him on days that have less movement especially.

QOTW: Next is to start researching more about what we need for this little man. We aren't having a shower so decided for budgeting purposes to try to make one larger baby buy per month. Exciting!!

How many weeks? Fruit/veg [if you know]? 37 weeks -- full term! He's a winter melon today.

How are you feeling? I feel pretty much OK. My hands hurt (carpal tunnel) and are numb, and I am looking forward to that going away. But other than being tired/big/slow/hot, I don't have a lot of physical complaints.

Any upcoming appointments/milestones/pregnancy updates to share? Well...funny you should ask.

Wednesday at my appointment, my OB told me that my bp has risen slightly over the last two appointments. It's not high enough to be concerning, but given that I have 2 risk factors for PIH and pre-eclampsia (BMI and AMA), she wanted to err on the side of caution and run more tests (my urine has always been negative for protein). They drew some blood and sent me home with a kit to do a 24-hour urine collection on Tuesday. On Friday the nurse called to say that my blood work was "slightly abnormal" and they are concerned that it could be pre-e. Given that my bp isn't terrible and the bw was only a bit abnormal, they said they are comfortable waiting until next week to re-test my blood and test the 24-hour urine sample. So I was given instructions to watch out for certain symptoms, call ASAP if I have any, and otherwise...wait. The only cure for pre-eclampsia is delivery, so if I do have it, we will be meeting Mr. Baby sooner rather than later. Since he is full-term there really isn't any risk in delivering him, whereas there would be a risk to both of us if he stayed in. Of course it might turn out that I don't even have pre-e, but for now I feel like I should plan on it just so we are prepared either way.

Thoughts/vents? The idea of meeting our son this week makes me anxious! We've been behind on baby prep for a while and progress is slow with both of us working, my wife urging me to rest, blah blah. I know in reality he doesn't need much more than an infant car seat and a boob, but our house looks like a baby bomb went off in it and it's going to be that much harder to get organized WITH a newborn in the house! Emotionally I am also struggling a little with those "Wait, what??? We're having a baby?!" feelings. It took a long time for this pregnancy to feel real, and I always imagined he'd be late.

QOTW: What's next on your pregnancy to-do list? Pack the hospital bag!

@jess123456 - Congrats on being half baked and a great anatomy scan! Have you read Baby Bargains? I found the helpful in terms of resesarch. Also liked Lucie's List. And you are welcome to take over the ticker change, unless anyone else is dying to do it! You might as well start next week. Even if I am still pregnant, I will be happy to participate without being the responsible party!

How are you feeling? Utterly exhausted but ok overall

Any upcoming appointments/milestones/pregnancy updates to share? Next appointment is on the 30th. We will start telling family and friends if all goes well then.

Thoughts/vents? Next Monday can't get here soon enough...

I do need to get my hands on that book. I'm glad that you recommend it. I checked out Lucie's List and it looks like a great resource. Thanks so much! Can't wait to read your birth story and see pictures of your sweet boy if you are comfortable sharing them.

26 weeks, head of lettuce!
How are you feeling?
Feeling pretty good. I've just been having lots of sciatic pain as of late and it's pretty dang annoying.
Any upcoming appointments/milestones/pregnancy updates to share?

Tomorrow we are touring the hospial L&D. Next doc appt is 7/9. Glucose test should follow shortly after that.

Thoughts/vents? I wish that I had the nursery done so I would feel a BIT more prepared.

QOTW: What's next on your pregnancy to-do list? Get the nursery painted and start getting the furniture put in it!!

@ball.and.chain Congrats on being full term!! I can't believe you are going to be meeting baby boy soon!! I hope whenever it happens, that you have a smooth labor and delivery!
