We went on our first family vacation this weekend to Philadelphia and various points in between.

That's 425 miles traveling with a toddler, one way. I know some of you have done further which I can't even imagine!
Yup, kinda. But it was so worth it. We took her to the 'Please Touch' Museum for Children and she had an awesome time. We also went to Sesame Park - the park was hit and miss, really. She was too little for the rides, really, and while she loved the splash pools and other water fun, we timed things poorly and crossed it all with her naptime. We did get to see Elmo and Cookie Monster perform a poorly written play (so many plot holes! Seriously Cookie Monster, if Abby Cadabie stole your damn cookie and left you clues to find it, you cannot imagine the solution to these clues and successfully find your cookie. That is pure bullshit.) Evie liked the play, though.
We spent Friday in Philly walking around and seeing all that we could see. I had awesome pizza and a legit cheese steak from Geno's. It's a beautiful city and I very well might consider moving there if it wasn't for all the dirty Flyer's fans (sorry to the few of you out there - I can consider you misguided I guess.)
We also spent some time in Valley Forge on the way in and Gettysburg on the way out, both reasons for me to want to return because I didn't get the opportunity to reflect while I was at either of those places (both battlefields, by the way, if you're not American - the former being from the Revolutionary War and the latter from the Civil War.) But hands down, the best part of the trip was a detour to a petting zoo. Evie absolutely loves all animals, so we thought it would be a great idea to take her somewhere that she could feed them carrots and pet them. We saw some lemurs first, which went over well (they were in a habitat - no petting.) She chased around some loose fowl, which she also enjoyed. We brought her to the goats, which were the big draw. They were super excited to see us and rushed to the edge of their fence in a hurry to get carrots. This was her reaction:(it's a .45 sec video)https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...14502356590875And this, later on:https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...91240208560466She was more than happy to pet the pony and feed the bunnies carrots, but it was a big eff you to the goats. I enjoyed the goats, for what it's worth.

Do you have pictures from Sesame Place?
I'm going to AW our recent trip to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. I took the girls down by myself. We had dinner with Elmo and friends there. V kept laying her head on all the characters. I was amazed because we don't even watch Sesame Street but they both loved the characters.
That is awesome - we have been wanting to go to the beach but going back and forth over where - I love Busch Gardens, this might be a cool idea.
She actually just started using the "I don't like" phrase that morning. Randomly while we were getting her dressed, she said, "I don't like vacuum." Our vacuum was nowhere in sight - I wonder if she actually dreamed about vacuum cleaners!
This is about the only picture I have of the park
What a cute sleepy girl!
