Gender reveal

Since I found out I was pregnant I was absolutely sure I didn't want to find out the gender, even needed to convince my husband. Now that the appointment is 2 weeks away I'm starting to second guess it! How does team green stay strong?! I'm not sure I'll be able to say no when were at the a/s.....

  • We are preparing for a baby.  We don't need to know the sex in order to do that.  I love that we will get to be surprised & hear the doctor say, "it's a..." in the moment :).
This exactly :) I can't wait to hear those words... I know it's a surprise either way if you find out at your a/s or at the time of birth but for me I think finding out at the same time you get to hold that little munchkin will make it just a little more special...to me anyway

  • ah it's hard! I was Team Green with my first baby. It was way easier with my first. With this one I cracked and found out the gender as soon as I could lol. Which was awesome. But I have to say, it was amazing to find out at birth with my first one. After she came out I was like "What is it?!?!" and then my Dr said "Well let's show you!" And when I saw my baby girl and knew I had a daughter, it was just amazing. Of course it'll be amazing if you know the gender too, but to be totally surprised was awesome. Then my husband ran out of the room saying "It's a GIRL!" to my relatives and they were screaming, it was just great.

With this one I told my mother this morning it was a girl, and she was like "Oh that's great." not that I expected her to cry her eyes out but the reaction the first time was a lot more enthused lol. So honestly it's up to you but you should do Team Green once if you can. It'll be awesome either way though!
  • Stay strong! It's so much fun having a surprise all the way to the end! And as mentioned it's great having gear and clothing that is neutral for baby #2, 3,4...

the days leading up to the anatomy scan are the hardest.  Once its over, you don't really have to think about being team green--you just are!

This exactly! I had my scan this morning and was having minor panic attacks all weekend about whether I was REALLY going to be team green. As soon as we told the tech we didn't want to know, I relaxed and enjoyed the time getting to see my LO. Now I'm even MORE excited to be team green post-scan.

  • Whatever sex your baby is, can you consider naming it Lemon?

  • I say if you want to find out, find out! There's no shame in wanting to find out before the baby is born. And no matter if you find out at the a/s or when it's born, it will still be a surprise!

You got this!!!  I'm team green & don't plan on changing my mind....I have found out in the past w/ my other children, so I've done it both ways & I will say that honestly, it takes away half of the fun...that's a pretty large piece of the puzzle....I mean, yes, you won't know what your baby looks like until birth, that is a surprise, but I think the gender is huge, not finding out makes it worth the while....
