  I can honestly say that even when my skepticism is confirmed I very much do not feel that weird little satisfaction unfortunately.

  Thanks but I wasn't thinking of the civil end, but criminal. Some states have prosecuted people who've done schemes faking cancer for example. I don't see KFC suing the family because I doubt the family has insurance of any value and they look better by rising above

  I know nothing about law, but I think those people were charged because of charity related charges.
