Fear...ULTRASOUND UPDATE

Okay folks. First ultrasound is tomorrow and I woke up spotting this morning, it's not red...just "old blood" color. But that's how my last miscarriage started, the weekend before my first ultrasound. I'm crippled by fear. Stomach is in knots. I keep hoping and praying it's just normal pregnancy jitters and spotting, but please understand, I've never spotted during a pregnancy and -not- lost the baby, and I feel like going to pieces. If this happens again, I just do not know how I'll take it. I have -got- to have answers this time. No cramps...but that on the tissue is a true terror for me. Please lend me all the T&P possible. Update: the verdict is in...5 w 5 d pregnant. Healthy sac, healthy baby, beating heart! It was still very early, so the heart rate they got (88) they don't believe is accurate. I go back for a repeat ultrasound on 07/07 to confirm viability via good cardiac activity! I have to say this has relieved me quite a bit. I take extreme comfort in these ultrasound pictures of my Eensy kidney bean! FX for a fabulous repeat in two weeks with a lot more thump thump to see! Thanks sooooooooo much for all the T&P!

    Huge hugs @cmhawkins1709‌! I'm so sorry you're spotting. Tons of thoughts and prayers for you today and tomorrow that your ultrasound shows a beautifully healthy little bean in there! Keep your chin up and try to relax. Can you and YH do something fun today to take your mind off things and to try to speed up time? Keep us updated!

    T&PS! Spotting is very scary. I know there are a bunch of ladies here who had spotting/bleeding and they made it to the other side.

    Try and stay calm-deep breaths, drink some water, find something to distract yourself. (((Hugs))) I'm hoping tomorrows u/s can put your fears to rest!

    Thank you ladies...I had a beta drawn Friday and after the spotting this morning couldn't bear to wait until tomorrow to find out the result. Just called the after hours line and spoke with the on call physician. It was 2823 on Friday. So that is a promising number. The spotting has pretty much subsided for now. FX I'm getting worked up for no reason. You all have no idea how grateful I am for all the T&P! I will keep you all updated.

    T&P's coming your way but that is a solid beta number. Hang in there, IF makes every step in a PG terrifying

    Multiple ectopics, 2 failed IVF's
    IVF #1: Did not get to ET, embies all failed PGD (major chromosomal defects)
    IVF #2: We have 2 chromosomally perfect embies as a result of PGD (Boy/Girl) 1 failed the thaw (Girl) Transferred 1, yet ended as a c/p
    Thought it was the end of our TTC Journey 6/20/2012
    SHOCK BFP 9/28/2012: IT'S A BOY! and everything is normal !!!!!!

    Little A born 38w 2d on 05/23/13 and is a true miracle for this IF Vet!

    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    Fx that the ultrasound tomorrow looks good & puts your fears to rest.

    Me 38 MH 41 - TTC since June 2010 - dx with Severe MFI. Straight to IVF with ICSI. IVF #1 - ER 06/13/12 - 9 Eggs Retrieved - 4 ICSI'd - only 2 fert. 06/15/12 - 2DT - 3 cell & 6 cell with fragmentation. Beta 06/29/12 - IVF #1 = BFN. 07/20/12 - WTF Appt -Told by our RE to quit IVF. Second Opinion from RE is good. IVF#2 - November 2012. Estradiol Pills Started 11/6. Stims start 11/16. ER 11/26 - 7 eggs retrieved - all mature. 4 fertilized with ICSI. ET 11/29 Transferred 3 embryos. Beta is 12/10. 1st Beta 81 2nd Beta 160 and 3rd beta 360!!! First U/S 12/21/12 - We saw one beautiful gest. sac. 2nd U/S is 01/04/2013 - H/B 183 02/05/13 - NT Scan - everything looks good and IT'S A BOY!  Aiden was born 08/20/2013.

    IVF #2 is in progress.  ER was 05/12/14 - 11 eggs retrieved, 8 fertilized with ICSI.  ET was 05/15/14 - we transferred 3 embryos as we did on the cycle my son was conceived.  We were able to freeze 3 embryos. Beta is scheduled for 05/26/14.  1st beta - 111.  2nd beta - 159 didn't double :( 3rd beta Friday 5/30) - not a lot of hope left. Beta # 3 is 247 - probably ectopic.  Beta # 4 is 813 - possibly vanishing multiple sydrome?  06/05/14 - 5w4days - first U/S - we see a gestational sac and yolk - still have hope!  06/17/14 - 7w1day - U/S and saw and heard the heartbeat - Finally!  06/27/14 - 8w4days - Baby and heartbeat look and sound great :)  EDD 02/01/14 and It's a boy!

    I totally understand where you are coming from. I have also never spotted where it didn't end bad. FX everything is fine!!!

    Spotting is super scary - I had it with all 4 of my pregnancies.  With #1 and #2 is was very minimal, with #3 (the m/c), it obviously progressed into full on bleeding.  When I got pg with my 3rd baby (pg #4), I had lots of brown spotting - on the same level as my m/c.  I was fairly certain I was having another m/c.  At my first prenatal visit, I told DH not to come because I was sure there would be nothing to see as I had started having even more bleeding.  I was totally shocked to see her in there with a strong HB.  They couldn't find a source for the bleeding either.  She is now 18 months old :)  You never know.  Good luck today!

    Great news!!  That is earlier than we saw a heartbeat for our daughter!  Best of luck with your repeat ultrasound!

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN

    But I got home, was cramping, went to the bathroom and wiped, and there's blood all over the TP. Called the doc office back, and they said that's not uncommon after a transvaginal ultrasound and that as long as I didn't fill a pad not to worry. Ahhhh! How am I not supposed to worry?! I'm only 5 weeks pregnant and bleeding all over the place! This kid is taking full advantage of the fact I have anxiety issues!

    I'm so sorry you are spotting again! Maybe you can go in on Friday for an u/s. I don't think that would be an unreasonable request right now. ((Hugs))

    Congrats! Glad all is okay

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP
