Trying to Get Pregnant

Question about introing

Hi Ladies,

I've been lurking here, and jumping in a small bit..I'm very active on TTC after a loss (my MC was at nine weeks with triplets and I had a D&C Apr 8). I will continue over there but now that we are getting the go ahead from my RE to TTC I'm interested/excited to also become more active and make this a home. My question is, do you all want my full story here also before I jump in with check ins or do you all know me well enough for me to be 100% active versus just jumping in with small bits of advice?

  • I'm going to just add a bit more information with this post..
I'm 31 and Dh is 35. I'm a professional live out nanny and newborn specialist and DH is a investment analyst and trains colleges on investment software. We live in ABQ, NM! We met in Nov 2003, married in July, 2010 and TTC for a couple years before getting a referral to a RE. I learned I wasn't ovulating and the RE put me on clomid in Dec 2013. I still didn't ovulate in Nov, but we were thrilled when I did in Jan, 2014..still got a BFN. In Feb 2014 we finally got a BFP!! On a trip home from Vegas beginning of Mar, 2014 I passed a huge blood clot and completely freaked out. It was a Sun so the RE had me go in for ultrasound first thing Mon. We had three heartbeats, all sounding "nice". We were terrified, but so beyond excited. We told the world. I went back for a scheduled "last ultrasound" with the RE the last week of Mar and was shocked and beyond sad when we learned we had no heartbeats (the babies all measured seven weeks but I should have been nine weeks. I had a D&C Apr 8. I had all the tissue tested and we learned we would have welcomed three girls. Our babies tissue all came back healthy. I had more extensive testing done and was diagnosed with compound homozygous MTHFR. It's now eleven weeks post D&C and I'm starting CD1. So happy to have my first cycle post D&C and it's right on track to what it was pre-MC!!

  • I am so sorry for your losses. Please do whatever you are comfortable with. Personally, I don't need everyone's full story to interact with them here. I intro-ed on a W2O thread.

  • @JellicalParker, My Husband and I got a referral to Dr. Thompson at Center for Reproductive Medicine. He is great, very proactive! Dr Thompson's office recommended I switch my OB to Dr. Rebecca Okun who is at the Jefferson office of Woman's Specialists of New Mexico. With Dr. Okun you don't need a referral but you can't get in her schedule until you are already pregnant. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about Dr. Thompson!
