What's wrong with my pump???

I have the PISA and until a week ago I only used it a couple times. I noticed last night that its not sucking (?) as hard and when I turn it up, it makes a weird sound. There have been a few times today where I started the pump and one side would work and the other didnt. It did abdolutely nothing. Just now it happened on the opposite side it did earlier. I've also noticed its taking longer to pump.

What gives? Any ideas?

Check them how and for what? I've been pumping for 15 min now and I only have an ounce in each side. Typically I'd have 2-3 by now.

The membranes wear down after a while and if they have even the tiniest tear in them your pump won't work as strongly. I have to replace mine about once a month so if it's been a while since you've replaced yours I would definitely start there.

Agree with pps, the membranes sound like the likely culprit. This is exactly what mine do when they tear. If you need to replace them but don't have any extras you can get them at Target.

I inspected the membranes and didnt see anything, but I changed them anyway. It's only been a week of using the pump so I don't see how they could wear out so quickly. I noticed a little difference in the suction, but not in the amount if time I'm pumping. Still taking 20 min to get 2 oz from each side. Two days ago it was taking 10 minutes....
