HFM. Odd side effect (PSA)

So DS2 was one of the first to get HFM on this board. It was about 6 weeks ago now and was truly awful.
So, he has developed a new symptom/side effect of HFM - the poor kid's fingernails are falling off! I have never seen such a thing, it is so bizarre.
Anyway, just wanted to make everyone aware that this can happen because it freaked me out when i first noticed it this weekend.
HFM sucks.

    actually when we were at the pedi on saturday my dr told me that could happen. said its totally normal and they grow back. he used the word "peeling" tho...

    I'm hoping to avoid that. This sucks! Sorry I got like 3 hours of sleep and am drinking coffee by the gallon today

    DS has peeling all over his fingers and feet. He has also been pooping like 5 times a day which he normally did 1 to 3 times before HFM.

    BFP3: DD2 born Feb 2013 at 38w4d via unplanned RCS due to uterine dehiscence

    My LO had hand foot and mouth a few months ago and her nails peeled off too.. It was weird but not to big a deal..


    I have a Daughter born 2/26/2013. She is pretty much amazing!
