Just curious how long your LOs nap during the day. My daughter is 6 weeks and some naps are 2.5 hours and others 45 mins to an hour... What about you guys?
I'm jealous of all of you! I think the longest nap I've gotten her to take is 1 1/2 hours since she turned 3 weeks. She's now 7 weeks. A normal nap is now 30-45min. Needless to say I'm not getting a whole lot done these days. But she sleeps 7-8 hours overnight, so I guess it's a trade off, right?

When we're out and about she sleeps 2-3 hours in the carrier. At home in the cosleeper I'm lucky if I can get 1hour out of her, usually it's more like 20min

Wow. Very jealous of some of you! Some days - but only some - she'll sleep 2 or even 3 hours one time especially in front carrier or until this past week in carseat if we've been out. Otherwise she'll fall asleep in my arms ( on boob or burp shoulder) but if i try to put her down she wakes up in 0-10 minutes and won't go back to sleep. So really ... crap cat naps.

My LO is 6 w and 2 days and used to take naps up to or longer than 3 hours. However I was up every couple hours at night. I read the first half of Babywise and decided to try his plan instead of BFing sporadically and following a 2-3 hour plan between feedings unless LO needed to eat sooner. It's worked so well for us as she sleeps longer at night and is on a great schedule now. Her naps are never longer than about 2 hours.
He naps for up to 30 minutes in the swing or RNP. at the most. But if I put him in the Ergo he will nap for up to 3 hours. So I've been wearing him a lot in the afternoons.

Sitting down to eat ... sounds vaguely familiar from my pre-baby life ... Well actually I do still sit down to eat. I sir on the couch and BF while eating with the hand that's not holding her. We gave up on waiting til she's napping long ago for just the reason you said.
