mega pain with ovulation after injectables

This past week I had my first IUI after injectables.  I've done clomid plus IUI before but had the thin lining problem so we moved on.  I always have ovulation pain.  It usually varies from a pinching to putting me on the couch for a few hours.  Well, with the inejctables I had 3-4 mature follicles and several smaller ones.  I got the HcG shot and exactly 36 hours later I was writhing in pain.  I could barely walk.  Unfortunately I got called into work about 2 hours later, but the pain did subside that evening when I was distracted at work.  
is this typical?  If I hadn't known what was going on, I probably would have gone to the ER, it was that bad.  And now I've got the super bloat going on.  I look about 10 weeks pregnant, I'm so bloated.  Jeez I hope this works, I don't know how many times I'm willing to go through this!

    I can't offer any advice as far as injectables go, as I've never done them, but I am usually in some major pain with clomid. I also get cramping in my enitre uterus/abdomen area (not sure if that's normal) and the bloating is TERRIBLE too. Sorry I can't be more helpful : /

    Learned Clomid unmonitored is a NO-NO
    July RE appointment - finally!

    Unfortunately, I would say this is potentially typical. This is pretty similar to what I experience. I'm never 100% sure if it is from ovulation, side effect of the Ovidrel or from the actual IUI procedure. I just know that it sucks :(

    We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013. 

    11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good. 

    12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

    12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

    I had something similar my first cycle with injectables, but to a lesser extend perhaps because I only had one mature follicle. For me it was a back ache that nothing would help, followed by bloat.

    TTC since February 2013 --- mild thin PCOS (or not, depending on which RE you ask), MFI

    TI#1: BFN (April 2014; Clomid 50mg x5 days, Estrace x5 days, Clomid 50 mg x4 days)
    IUI#1: c/p (May 2014; Letrozole 2.5 mg x5 days, Estrace x5 days, Bravelle 75 IU x10 days)
    IUI#2: abandoned... O'd early & DH hormone issues (June 2014; Letrozole 2.5 mg x5 days, Bravelle 75 IU x2 days)
    IUI#2.1: BFN (July 2014; Letrozole 2.5 mg x5 days, Bravelle 75 IU x4 days)

    Moving on to IVF. (Why we're moving on to IVF)

    IVF#1 (w/ICSI): BCP 9/9-9/23. Gonal-F, Ganirelix, Low-dose HCG (antagonist protocol). 41R/35M/32F... 2 transferred on 10/14, 14 frosties! On cabergoline to help avoid OHSS. BFN, possibly because of 90% drop in estrogen and progesterone a few days after ET.
    FET#1: Transferring 2 on January 8. BFP! beta#1 (1/17): 408, beta#2 (1/20): 1310, first u/s scheduled 2/5

    I have not done injectables, but I have had 4-6 mature follies during several cycles, and had much more pain. I always have a lot of pain when I ovulate, but it was much worse with more follies.
    Me: 40, Hypothyroidism, well managed, TSH 1.99
    DH: 44 Fine except for low morphology
    TTC since 02/2013  
    08/13: Day 3 tests (ESTRADIOL 20.8; AMH 1.1; FSH 6.2)
    12/13 HSG, all clear
    11/13-5/14 - IUIs #1-3, BFNs, 
    6/14 to present: Taking a break, getting healthier, researching IVF
    Planning for IVF in late summer 2015
