Update: The "nurse curse " continues. Prayers needed LO headed to ER !!

Been dealing with inability to poop or pass gas for week. Been to urgent care and tried all their tricks. Now she won't eat without screaming. She is ripping my nipples off to strain and a bottle of BM is the same reaction.

Update: headed home!! Everything is ok... Well nothing life threatening. No blockage.

Just so other moms don't freak like I did here we go!!

So babies that are breast fed can poop like crazy 5-8 times a day then not poop for up to 2 weeks and it all be normal. Also if they don't eat and cry because they are trying to pass gass or a BM its normal too. They can get really uncomfortable I guess as pressure builds up. They are still learning how to use internal and external muscles in their GI system. However when it becomes unbearable for both of you. Manual stimulation works great!!

Yes it's exactly what it sounds like. Q-tip in their lil butt to digital stimulate them.

I felt so stupid. I'm a nurse. Why did I not know this? Well the ask a nurse at the clinic told us to go in plus our ER nurse who has breastfed twins at home 10 weeks old said she would have done the same and had no idea either.

Oh to make maters worse/better. LO was so cute as soon as we get there. I swear smiling and even talking. This was all a first. Like "na na Bo Bo " everyone had to come see her. She was so alert and being too cute. Loved the lights!!

I mean she was previously screaming so loud in pain I was crying and SO was too. Dr said they put something in the air to do that to kids. (As a joke)

Second update:

I am not convinced she is "ok". She is not in danger of something life threatening but she hurts. Still can't poo or pass gas and normally she had no problems. I'm super constipated now too. I'm cutting out a lot and gonna see if that helps. Also my boobs need a break so going to pump and feed maybe that will have her getting more then she needs to produce more waste.
I feel helpless. I've let her sleep on me or with me otherwise she cries in her sleep. :(
