Suddenly hating the crib!!!

My apologies if this has been of topic before but.......LO suddenly HATES the crib!!!!  I don't even know what to do.  Before we went on vacation, she would go down awake with her sound machine on and she would put herself to sleep.  Naps, nighttime, didn't matter when.  We went to the beach for one week where she slept half the night in the PNP and the other half with me.  Now that we are home (yesterday and today), she screams everytime that I put her in awake or even drowsy.  She fell asleep nursing last night so I put her down (about 930) and by 11 she was up screaming.  I was so exhausted from being up driving since 3am that I just let her sleep with me.  Now today eveytime shes tired, she refuses to lay down in the crib!  Anyone else have this problem?  Any input/ advice would be great!

    I'm not for sure that would stink!! I don't know of you like the cry it out method but I wonder if that's what I would do especially beings he's slept in the crib normal before. I've heard that babies are smart and sometimes it only takes once for them to break a habit--which is silly because things change and it would be so much raiser if they would just adapt to that. Hopefully you can get her to sleep in the crib tonight!! Good luck!!

    We are having this exact same issue.  We got home Friday and the past two days I have had to put Luke down already asleep or else he just screams in the crib.  I've just been rocking him to sleep until I know he's in a deep sleep then laying him in the crib.  Seems to be working ok.

    Around this time is a killer wonder week. I would not reccomend cry it out personally. I would try something more along the lines of Ferber or Pick Up, Put Down.

    During a wonder week they are making big cognitive leaps. One of which is realizing that Mom can leave them, hence an increase in separation anxiety around this age. Ferber and PUPD reassures LO that you are still there to attend their needs but that it is bedtime and they need to stay in bed.

    Thanks everyone! Glad to hear its a normal developmental phase. She's my 4th but it's amazing how much you forget/how different every LO is! I got nervous that being held too much at the beach/not liking PNP sent us down a rocky path. She had been very clingy as well. And yes, we have made developmental leaps this week (babbling dada, 2 teeth, army crawling).
