Hi all!
This is my first post here. I've been lurking around a few different forums, but think this one has the best variety, so I'm ready to chime in.
I keep reading about people matching up with "cycle buddies" and always think to myself how hard it would be to watch your buddies dwindle away when they get a BFP.
I'm more interested in a SITUATIONAL buddy

That would be someone with a couple of similar factors to me and my husband. This way if someone finally gets a BFP its more hopeful because they come from a similar background, not just a similar menses date

I ovulate, but have longer cycles averaging 37 days (with a few annovulatory or longer cycles thrown in for funsies),
Husband has low morphology (18% where the lab says 30%+ is best),
we have been TTC for 26 months now.
2 years ago we moved 2 hours away from our families (and ALL of our friends) for my husbands job promotion.
A few more random facts: we met 15 years ago in highschool, we started dating 14 years ago in June, got married 4 years ago in August, and started TTC 2 years ago in April.
I don't personally know a single soul who has gone through this. I know of acquaintances stories through mutual friends, but no one I can call up and talk to looking for empathy.
We are Paleo and loving it for the last 3 years.
We are currently saving up a down payment for our dream farm.
The most hurtful thing that I have heard during this journey so far came from my own mother, but I could never tell her how much it hurt... she told me that no matter how everything turns out, I can still be the World's Coolest Aunt. (my little sis managed to get pregnant while she and her husband were still living with my parents due to financial issues)... except no one dreams of being the awesome aunt! I know she meant well, so I smiled and hugged, but sheesh!
The most comforting thing that has happened so far is that my husband's boss (that we've both known for almost 10 years) told DH to just tell him when he wasn't going to be coming in for work that day and they'd "make it work somehow". That had been my biggest fear, husband's erratic work schedule and the fact that there's no coverage for him in this region, given how inconsiderate the positive OPK's are with their timing.
I just finished my first round of Clomid (never again! I have every symptom except overstimulation and breathing difficulties), taking this cycle off because my doc's team "forgot" to order my HSG for last cycle, and I want to know more before gobbling more drugs that will ruin my life for 3 weeks.
My husband just left town for a week, so I'll be getting my HSG & results by myself

He's volunteering at a summer camp so I can't even call him on rough days. I desperately want to hug someone besides my cats, but they all live 2 hours away and I just blew this paycheck's gas allowance on a trip to the fertility doc that ended up being unneeded because the schedulers don't understand that I don't need a baseline US when I'm not doing another medicated cycle...
So, yeah, if you find yourself relating to me in any way, please let me know! I'm dying to talk to someone who can kinda sorta understand my unique situation.
