Sorry, I know you said your DH loves Cassius, but I cannot get behind it as a first name. Love how Lincoln Cassius sounds though! I think using it as a middle name is a great compromise. Roman Cassius is a little too, hmm, historic? I like the name Roman, but it's a little too history heavy and feels a little odd to me when paired with Cassius.
I have always loved Cassius, and DH has always hated it. Lincoln was on my top-ten, so I voted for that one. I kind of like the allitration of Cassius Carter, too.
I'm on board with the whole "if he wants it and you're not super opposed give it to him" thing. I'm also on board with Cassius Tristan as Roman is way to Holy Roman Empire for me, and Lincoln and Carter feel like big disconnects.

If you like it you should totally go for it! I don't know if Jackson really goes with the rest of the names, though, unless it's your last lame and not a second middle name.
