I feel like a newb, possibly TMI

Can an OB test for amniotic fluid at their office, or would I have to go to L/D? I'm concerned I might have a very small leak, but it also may just be very watery discharge. Can discharge even get that watery? I can sometimes feel a small gush when I stand after sitting for a long time, and I know it's not pee. It's not a lot, but if I don't wear a liner, my undies are wet by the end of the day. It makes me a little nervous since I've been contracting off and on too, but LO's been moving around a lot still, so I don't think it's urgent.

    I would think that the office can check- I think they use a test strip like litmus or something. At least, when I went to l&d after falling with dd1 that's what they did.

    But... At this point, you should probably go to L&d and rule it out since it's a weekend. :( fx that it's nothing!

    I'm not sure...is there an after-hours number you can call? If it were me, I'd call the l&d unit and describe what's going on and see what they recommend. It can't hurt!

    It's definitely not enough to soak a pad. So I think if it is a leak, it's a very very small one. I have an appointment on Friday, so maybe I'll just stay hydrated and wait until then unless it gets worse?

    I had A LOT of discharge when I was KU, and sometimes it was pretty dang watery. That's all Ireally have to offer to this conversation :P

    I would probably get it checked to be safe, but it sounds normal enough to me. I was rather ummmm moist my entire 3rd trimester with both kids. I wore a pad most days. And the day I had did, I had to change my under wear 3 times in about 2 hours.... I was sent to l&d and my bag was bulging so I didn't even have a leak.

    I was like a faucet down there and I was not leaking AF. I would soak my undies by mid-day. I guess I was just that lucky to have swamp vag the whole time.
