Possible food allergy

I was up most of the night with DS. At 10 he woke up crying so I picked him up and he was soaking wet. He threw up about 7 more times after that. We finally got him to hold down pedialyte and got him in bed after 1. Earlier that day I gave him sweet potatoes. He was gagging when he ate them so he hardly had any. But the same thing happened a couple months ago after eating sweet potatoes we just thought it was a bug. Now I'm wondering if DS could have a food allergy to sweet potatoes. Anyone know or experienced the same thing?

    It may be or it could just be an intolerance.

    All three of my girls would violently vomit after eating rice cereal, oatmeal, basically any of the "baby" cereals. But but they aren't allergic to any of those grains now.

    I would mention it the pedi. Have them do a scratch test so you know for sure.

    Thanks @norbert5‌ @SeeJayEmm‌ he has a pedi apt on Tuesday so I will talk to him about it. And he is much better this morning :)

    DS didn't tolerate sweet potatoes well either. He broke out in a rash within an hour of eating them and pooped up a storm.
