Commercial baby food

Isabel no longer seems to like eating puréed food. She always wants what we are eating but obviously has no teeth to chew it. I've tried pureeing our chicken with carrots but she only had a few bites. She needs to eat more!! It just happened so suddenly about 10 days ago.

Re: Commercial baby food

  • I give DS bits of whatever we are eating, I notice when I do this he shows no interest in his purée. He has no teeth either, but he eats plenty. Today he ate a bunch of beans.

  • I can't see how old your LO is, but most babies this age should be able to do table food if that's what you want to do. I was nervous at first since LO didn't have any teeth, but she does just fine gumming it. Cooked veggies, little bites of meat, fresh fruit, etc. She loves to pick things up, so we give her one bite at a time off her tray on things that are pinch-able. The Kidsme silicone feeder (from Amazon) is also amazing for bigger pieces of food, and less mess, especially when out and about.

  • Emily is about done with any type of purees. She's been eating table food for quite a while now and is able to pick things up and feed herself, and she prefers to do that. I cut up whatever we are having for dinner in bite-size pieces that she can pick up and she does quite well with that.

  • Ok thanks ladies think we r going to try mostly table food
  • Can she b teething? When DD was teething she refused to eat solids. It lasted for a week and a half maybe. She is almost 9 months and is only on purees right now. I am so paranoid about her choking and she seems to like purees well enough so far
