At this point...

It is more uncomfortable laying down than it is standing up. I hate it. All night I go from side to side and it takes forever. I grunt and make all kinds of noises, it's terrible. Then, I am up for the day around 5am, because it's the only way to give my back any relief. For some reason, my back has been hurting....only while laying down, though. :/

Done complaining.

I'm starting to experience tailbone pain which makes sleeping on my sides uncomfortable.  It's all downhill from here.......*sob*.

  • Yep, I spent all night tossing and turning. I'm exhausted!

Same here.  I actually got out of bed early this morning & my H was wondering why (I always take full advantage of sleeping in when I can).  It was because my hips were hurting too much from lying in bed.

  • Same here. I've always been a back sleeper, and I still wake up 5 times during the night and I'm on my back because that's obviously how my body wants to be! I hate waking up and telling myself to get off by back and onto my sides :(

Totally me too. I woke up a lot last night on my back. Sleeping on my sides kills me hips, but I still turn to them when I wake up on my back.

I actually spend most the night on my back. I can't sleep on my left side as I get nauseous. I switch back and forth from my right side to my back. Just in the past day or two my lower back/hips are really starting to ache. Sigh.

  • I don't have any aches or pains but my body wakes me up when it wants me to change positions. Can't do it on its own anymore I guess. Either way, I'm left pretty tired in the morning.

  • I definitely get achy if I'm in any position for too long. When I stand I've found I've got to sway a little to make sure I'm evenly spreading the weight on the hip joints, otherwise by 30 minutes I'm hurting. Sitting I've got to adjust and switch hips a lot too, but I dont hurt as bad as I do when I stand.

Ive been waking up sooo much at night from my hips. I started putting a pillow under them, and then putting a body pillow between my legs. Usually that helps soooo much, but not today. I just plain hurt today.
  • I can get comfortable, but I wake up so many times to pee, that I have to get all comfortable again. I probably spend a full hour a night just moving around to get comfortable.

  • I've woken up with back pain before, usually when I've been sleeping on my back.  Once I turn over I'm okay.  I've also been using a pillow between my legs, but oddly, only when I'm on my left side, I don't need it on my right side.

Turning over is horrible though.  It always makes my pelvis burn.

Last night I was laying on the couch watching a movie.  I felt like an 80 year old lady trying to get up!

  • Ugh! What about arms and hands falling asleep!?!? I don't think I'll ever understand how to sleep on my side without that happening!

    Right there with ya sista!
  • Same here. All night I'm flopping back and forth, alternating to the hip that hurts less at the moment. The pregnancy pillow helped for a while, but now I guess I just have to give up on ever sleeping in again...
  • @camichalski‌ that's my problem! I haaaate it. Nothing helps.

  • While on vacation DH and I had a queen size bed. We normally sleep on a king. I was terrified that I would fall out of bed rolling over so I would wake up or stay in an incredibly uncomfortable position longer to avoid the edge. If only there had been a recliner or a way to sleep more comfortably.

  • at night i feel like someone is slowly pulling my hips apart wider on each side, torturing aches.
I'd rather be knocked out at this point to get a full nights sleep!
  • Me too. It takes forever to get comfortable enough to fall asleep, them it takes too long to roll over and I wake up. Oh, and my toddler had suddenly decided that sleep is unnecessary, so he is up most of the night. Add into that my husband's ridiculous snoring and I haven't slept in months. I feel like a zombie.

  • My worst moment in the night comes at about 5am. I wake up and I need to pee. Plus whatever side I am on, my hip is killing me. I want to move so I can pee and relieve the hip pain, but rolling out of bed to accomplish this is so uncomfortable that I take at least a minute or two to gather the strength and will to actually get up. Then I start walking to the bathroom and my tailbone sends stabbing pains with each step. There is no answer.

  • At 32 weeks and now I definitely feel it. Back pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, constant headaches, exhausted, dry itchy irritated eyes from contacts but I hate the feel of wearing glasses, RLP rolling around in bed at night trying to get comfortable, heartburn up the freakin wazoo, and I have allergies on top of it all so my throat is coughy. Oh and I have the boniest butt on the planet so sitting at a graduation party all day yesterday gave me a sore butt too! Ready for this baby now!! RANT OVER. :)
  • Oh and did I mention the nausea is back? I can barely eat again most days.... Exhausted!

    Plus side:
I'm still sleeping all through the night.
I don't have any swelling unless I sit in the sun for a long time and its super hot out.
I only have to go into work 1-2 days per week, otherwise I can do whatever I want at home.
I have less than 2 months left.
  • Is anyone else feeling totally exhausted after only minimul physical activity? I just took a shower and I feel like I need a nap.

Yes, depends on the day! Last week was really rough. The beginning of the week I felt exhausted. I'd walk the dog or take a shower and then lay down for like an hour. Everyday I felt like falling asleep at work. I was so afraid it was going to stay that way but Friday and Saturday were good I had so much energy.

Yesterday we went strawberry picking, did a huge BJ's run, took the dog to the park and then grilled and hung out by the pool. Today, I'm so lazy. Trying to muster up some energy to organize the fridge/freezer and throw in some laundry...sad! :/

Yep, all of this. But I am also tossing and turning several times in the night when I wake up and one hip is hurting. It's totally unbelievable how difficult and painful it is to just roll over!

  • It's torturous.

I am so exhausted all day and I finally get into bed and can't sleep.
    - Too much on my mind
    - Acid reflux
    - Heart burn
    - Achy hips
    - restless leg syndrome
    - Too hot, then sweat and then too cold and wet
    - dogs and H snoring
    - Needing pillows, but then SO claustrophobic

I finally, finally fall into a deep sleep around 5 am and then get up for work around 7, I feel as though I am dying slowly inside.

  • Ugh me too. I love and value my sleep so much not being able to sleep well has me really disgruntled. Sleepy version of me means I'm super hateful and grumpy! I have found that sleeping on the couch helps. I'm able to prop myself on my side with the back of the couch at my back. It's not ideal but it does help on those really awful restless nights!
