Hello! So resently I've been having some health issues. Most of them we found I just need to take vitamins to help. But I've been having pains in my hands and wrist so coming to find out after seeing soo many doctors and specialist that I have mild carpal tunnel in both my hands. Basically severe enough to get surgery. But dh were wanting to start ttc finally after waiting till our son turned 3. Idk what to do! Hubby is worried about having another with my hands the way they are and I'm worried that putting off having a baby when there's no real help for me anyways right now. Idk what to do.

    I just went through a similar situation with my feet. I had to have surgery on both, and just had my last surgery on my right foot on Wednesday. I cannot imagine having to take care of two children with what I am going through now. Luckily my son is three and can help me out, but it would be difficult to do this with a baby. I would recommend getting your surgery now

    But Who knows how long it will take to get the surgery then healing would be a while then ttc and I'm already worried abut the huge age gap of my son to a the future baby now waiting longer mean bigger age gap and I just didn't want that for my children

    Oh and in my first post it says "severe enough for the surgery" but I meant it is NOT severe enough for surgery yet the doc won't do the surgery till I go back and see him in 6 months

    I ended up with pregnancy induced carpal tunnel with my last pregnancy. If you end up with a lot of swelling in your hands, combined with already having carpal tunnel, it could be extremely painful.
    I would get the surgery first before ttc.

    U guys aren't obviously reading what I'm saying! I have no idea when if get clearance for survey cuz my doc says I'm not severe enough for surgery. If in two months when I'm to go back and I'm still the same or worse then maybe they will talk about it. So that's my dilemma on ttc when we have a time frame on wen we will be done cuz of age to have more kids which Is 30. I don't care if that's stupid or not that's what we want. I'm just looking for support not to be judged

    This is such BS. WTF do you need to be done TTC by age 30?

    Maybe you and your H should focus on getting healthy, finishing school, and acting like adults first.

    I'm 31. Does that mean I can't have my bebe?

    I was thinking the same thing. I don't know why people choose 30 as a cutoff... 35+ is considered higher risk in some respects but I wouldn't cut myself off then, either, just for being over 35.

    My husband was 51 when our son was born so I don't get dad age cutoffs either. And yes, he keeps up just fine with our spirited toddler.

     30 is your cut off? Welp your right then. I guess your time is up. No more kiddies for you. What shame that your hand needs surgery and your eggs are going to fossilize on your 30th birthday. image
