Pain under boobs ?

Is anyone else feeling very sore on bra line? It's like trapped nerves or something from heavy boobs / growing belly & bra - but whoa - it's constant and won't go away. Any tips appreciated :)

Re: Pain under boobs ?

  • Yes! I've had it with every pregnancy except my son (which is weird). I have no suggestions cause i've never been able to make it stop. Its probably in my top 3 pregnancy complaints.

  • Ah! Good to hear I'm not alone in this and that it ends after pregnancy!
Did/do either of you happen to wear bras or sleep bras at night? Because I've stopped doing this in the past few nights and the pain has eased a bit. I'm 8 mths along and would love the support at night, but suspect it might be adding to the pain...

  • Negitive, no bras at night for this momma lol
  • Thanks all!
  • yes, i've had the same thing! i asked my ob about it and he said it could be baby up on the muscles ... the pain i have reminds me of when my foot falls asleep and gets tingly.
  • I have had the same problem, and it wraps around to my back as well. I used a heating pad on low and that helps a little. I find certain bras make it worse, but it happens eventually even if I haven't worn a bra. I wake up with such big plans for what I am going to get done when I get home from work, but by the time I get home all I can do is lay down flat on my back with the heating pad. :( needless to say, my housework has suffered tremendously!
  • I have had the same issue with both (this one and the last one) pregnancies. I noticed that the pain eased up after the baby dropped. My OB said it was caused from baby putting his feet in my ribs. I actually had bruising with the first one. Ice packs or a warm Epsom salt bath helped me.

    and I agree with Steffaneh

a lot of the pain I feel is when I feel a little foot in my ribs or if it's resting against my ribs and I move my torso to the side or turn it that really hurts

  • i used to have really bad pain and like lumps underneath my boobs. that was until i stopped wearing my underwired bras! i never thought i would be without my underwired bras due to being large chested. but i embraced gravity and opted for non underwired non padded bra and now i loooove it ha i tried wearing one of my underwired bras and broke out into a sweat!! looks like i won't be wearing them for a while!
