Happy Sunday Ladies!

Now that it's "officially" summer, here's a cute swimming gif for you :) I love how kids just fall in when they are "jumping" to you...Also, I wish I had a pool because I would be living in it right now.

  • Yay for finally getting your stuff @Emilyfae! Hope it comes quicker than 19 days so you have more time for unpacking before baby arrives.

  • 36 weeks + 3 days along. Baby is supposed to be the size of a honeydew melon, but according to his growth scan on Thursday, he's about 1.25lbs heavier than he should be...which makes sense. His daddy was 11lbs at birth (and 24 inches long), and his great-grandfather was 15lbs. Baby boys run big on my husband's side! His head is already measuring at 39 weeks. Looking forward to meeting my sweet, big headed baby boy in 18 days (scheduled for a c-section on July 10)!

Most looking forward to holding and snuggling our baby :)
  • quinncat good luck on Tuesday! Also, I'm so glad to only have one pumpkin in there! I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be!

alysson.lawless I think that's why I had contractions Saturday morning too, after a lot of water in the morning they stopped. Sort of disappointing after you get yourself mentally prepared to meet your LO!

  • @JamieSejkora, can you not take any time at the beginning of the school year? I know it would suck to miss it...but so would going back too soon :( Tough...

@JamieSejkora‌ I'm returning to work September 2, so the kids would've been in school for 3 weeks. The timing is okay, but trying to go back at such an important time is difficult. I was lucky with DS because he was born November 19, and I returned the first week back after winter break. Based on my schedule and if I'm pumping I'm not sure how it would work, but it will. Thinking of you! @earichar23‌ I know, I was kinda bummed, not gonna lie, but I'm glad I was able to get rehydrated after 3 IV bags. I'm just hoping I'm not walking around at 5 cm for much longer...

  • @kam3100‌ it will be hard in the beginning, like the first month. It was when we had Nathan. But you always have me if you need help or have a question or anything else!!!

  • Stuck in grey?

@mrscurlygirl, It may work to not go quite so regularly that first week until I can at least get him in daycare IF he comes on time, but other than that I'm pretty much stuck unless I take the semester off.  And, unfortunately, I know myself well enough to know if I took a semester off and got used to being home with him all the time I wouldn't be able to convince myself to go back, and I definitely don't want to do that.  It'll work out fine because we have an awesome support system to help us til he's old enough for daycare, I just know it's going to be really hard on me.  Major downfall of getting pregnant before I was done with school. :(

    Thanks @alysson.lawless!!
    Oh...you mean as a student...not a teacher. I get it now. Okay...well, good luck!

  • My office gave me fair warning that starting next week, I'll have internal exams to check for progress every time. I also get U/S and NSTs every time from here on out, so I have super long appointments for the rest of gestation...

  • How many weeks/what fruit, veggie, thing are you? 37 weeks, winter melon.
Vents or celebrations from the previous week? Nope.  I'm just plugging along.  I'm hoping these random, painful contractions start becoming less random at some point.
Any baby shower deets to share with us? Nope.  STM.
ST+Ms, what are you most nervous and/or excited about for when baby comes home? I am very worried about juggling a newborn and my very active almost 4yo.

  • @Lavelle7‌ I told my doctors up front that I didn't want a cervical check and they had no problem with it. I'm sure it's dependent on the doctor but it doesn't hurt to ask.
