Welcome to the TTC a Rainbow Sibling check-in. This check-in is a for TTCAL-ers with living children to talk about the issues about TTCAL while you have a living child. Living children and pictures of living children are welcome here, however if your pictured child is an infant (< a year old), please do place a warning at the beginning of your post to alert ladies who are having a hard day. You do not have to be active on the PAL board in order to be a member of this check-in, however, if you plan on posting on the main board please post an intro there.

I'll start off the check-in.

I am feeling frustrated. I'm on CD 50 past my D&C and, as of yesterday, I still had not hit negative beta or gotten AF. Two weeks ago my HCG was at 27, then at 16 last week, and this week it was at 9. So I need to go in for another draw next week. I am REALLY hoping my levels are less than 5 next week.The EDD for my first loss looms at the end of July, and I would really like to be TTC again before then (we are benched until after I have at least one normal period and then a hysteroscopy).

QOTW: my DH gives the best hugs in the whole wide world.

BookishMomma! I hope your levels come down so you can start ttc before your edd. I am so excited to get the +OPK! Because of my cycles FF gives me an almost 3 week FW so we've been BD EOD for the last week and a half almost. It's been frustrating on both of us. Hopefully I only have to bug DH a couple more times and then we can get back to dtd just for fun! I don't plan to tell him about the +OPK since he doesn't really understand all of this "crazy fertility stuff"!

Hi @bookishmomma - thanks for the check in! I'm sorry your levels are still too high and AF hasn't arrived yet - I'll be praying for you!

AFM - my temps continued to decline some this morning so I did not waste a pee stick. AF has not arrived yet...no spotting...i'm bloated and feel gross so she is most likely on her way. I did test on 11 dpo and it was bfn.

QOTW: It's hard to pick one thing...He's such a good daddy...I love to hear my daughter squeal w/ delight each time he comes home. It makes my heart happy.

@Nieko0423‌ oh goodness I can totally sympathize w/ your extended FW...it is stressful enough to cover the 4-5 days in a row w/ my hubby each month! Wishing you the best for this cycle!

@TMaggie0424 - so great about you & your hubby growing closer spiritually...it's important in my marriage also. Have fun on vacation!

@sarcaztic10- That's good news about the end result w/ your house purchase. Buying a house is stressful too + add TTC to the mix and you all have a lot on your plate right now so happy to hear that it's a done deal!

Thanks for the check-in @BookishMomma. I am doing a bit of a PNR right now but will check-in again later after DD is in bed. I'm not doing so great today. Karyotype results came back in today and were normal. Which on one hand is great. However on the other hand it leaves us with no answers and no plan. Our RE really thought it would be a chromosomal issue. All our other blood work has come back normal and my ovaries and uterus looked great on u/s when we went in on CD4 earlier this month. So we're kinda just left fumbling in the dark and I really really need some sort of answers to make sense of everything. But I think I have to learn to accept we will never get answers at this point. We have a consultation with another RE for a second opinion but it isn't until August 19th. I'm just so beaten down at this point.

Can I join you guys? I felt like I was doing a lot of check ins on ttcal at first and couldn't add another, but things have settled and I'd like to chat with this group.

DS will be 3 in September. 1st loss had EDD of August. 2nd loss had EDD of November and happened in April. I think I o'd yesterday, but we are tta for now. I'll have some blood work for thyroid and clotting soon and we'll go from there to see when we get active again.

Sending good vibes to those that are waiting for AF and also just generally waiting for something to happen.

Hey Ladies! Thanks for the check-in @BookishMomma!

Sorry I can't respond to everyone right now, we're in final exam week so I have limited time and access to my computer!

I've had a good two weeks actually. At my monitoring appointment on Wednesday (CD 11) I had two plump beautiful 21mm and 19mm follies on my right and my lining was 9.34mm! I triggered that night and had my IUI this morning. DH's sample was amazing so I know we did the best that we could. I am feeling really positive about this cycle but with my IF diagnosis just because everything looks good now doesn't mean we'll be successful. I had my interview for my doctorate program on Wednesday too and it went so well!! I'll find out in a few weeks if I got in and if I'm going to get any funding for the program.

Well, I got sick yesterday and we couldn't BD. However, my temps haven't gone up yet so hoping BD tonight still works!

Hi everyone! Things are crazy busy this week b/c we finally are getting close to getting our other house on the market and getting ready for vacation, so I am sorry to skip personals.

I met with my other doctor on Monday. She feels confident that we can go ahead and try again for a few cycles before the other surgery. She actually said we didn't have to have that surgery if we didn't want to, which was good to hear. She doesn't think the risk of miscarriage with endo is as high as the other doctor thought, so I think there is still some disagreement here within the medical community. I did some research myself and found that it is pretty inconclusive - some studies say one thing, others say another. It probably all depends on many different factors. So we feel comfortable TTC again. My recovery is going well, but I am having issues with one of the incisions by my waistband b/c my pants keep irritating it. Back to elastic waist for awhile I guess!

We are going on a short vacation (four days) next week. We are so excited b/c DH has not had time off, other than holidays and weekends, since he started his job last year. Can't wait to get away from things for a little while and relax. We are going to the zoo, a butterfly house and several other fun places. Taking Cora to the American Girl Place, too. Can't wait!

QOTW: This is a hard question - he is my best friend and keeps me grounded. He is very supportive and provides for us, allowing me to work part-time at something that I love and take care of Cora. Also, he's a lot of fun!

Thanks for the check in @bookishmomma I thought the 2nd interview went well but haven't heard anything since and the interviewer had stated he thought he would be able to get back to me the next day, I am feeling a thanks but no thanks letter coming and I will be SO bummed out.

Sorry you are feeling so frustrated and the your body isn't getting back on track. I know with your EDD looming it must be so much harder. Hugs.

Hey, thanks for the check in @BookishMomma! I checked in last week (but very late) sorry about that, this is what I wrote:
Hello, I'm sorry I'm so late. We were up in New Hampshire for the weekend for a few things, my sister was in the hospital (we found out on Tuesday she had ovarian cancer), a childhood friend has a stillborn little girl in Feb and they had a her memorial service, and of course Father's day in all of this.

TTCAL related, I'm on CD 9. I O'd a tad late last month (cd 21 compared to 17-18), just when I think I have a handle on my cycle, I'm hoping it goes back this month. I hate waiting to O!

This is the last cycle before I go to see my doc for my annual appointment. I'm nervous to talk about getting help. I fear not being taken seriously and then having to find a doctor that will.

So today I'm CD 13, still hoping to O. DS has his moving up ceremony tomorrow and I have my first ever yard sale on Sunday. So tomorrow will be spent cleaning the house and getting our lawn ready.

AFM-- I finally got af last night! Put a call in to my Dr and she called in my Clomid. So I will start that CD 3-7, and also be monitored via u/s and trigger

Im super super skeptical and worried. I'm assuming all of these feelings are normal while jumping back in to TTC. I can't help but have the fear of another loss. It's a HUGE fear in the front of my mind.

QOTW: Because he loves ME for who I am. He doesn't care about the extra fluff Ive gained in the past 10 years. He's amazing and supportive.

rslh10 - GL this cycle! I think you're right that those feelings are normal. I've never done a medicated cycle but I'm still always nervous getting back into TTC after a loss. Hope this is it for a while though!
