Trying to Get Pregnant

Charting help, please. :)

You are all amazing when it comes to chart deciphering... I'm trying to get the hang of it. It doesn't appear that I've ovulated yet, but perhaps tomorrow I'll see a temp spike?

I have horrible Middlesmertz, and my cramp/cyst pain subsided last night. Which doesn't really tell me much if my chart isn't reflecting it. The first week of charting my bedroom was a damn hotbox, and the past two nights my room was a cold and comfortable. Random drinking insterspirsed with at least three hour sleep increments.

Would that huge temp drop be explained with just a room temperature change?

Thanks in advance, hope my picture isn't huge.

  • I think the best answer is you'll just have to wait and see what happens. Are you temping at the same time, after 3 hours of sleep and before moving or drinking water?

  • Thanks both of you! I try to be consistent with the same time of day waking, but I always get the three hours. I haven't been drinking water in the AM, and I'll be sure to keep that in mind to definitely not do while temping.

  • I don't think you ovulated yet. I wouldn't worry too much about the temp dip because 1.) you're looking for a sustained temp increase and 2.) you're missing the two temps before it so it might appear to be a bigger dip than it actually is. Also, you don't always have a temp dip before ovulation. Sometimes I get one, sometimes I don't. I would just keep temping and HIO until you see that sustained temp shift. GL.

  • Thanks lilsneezy, I feel better after consulting with all of you. I felt seriously like WTH is my body doing, but now I'm less antsy. Curious what tomorrow will bring.
  • BTW I also LOVE your siggy, it makes me laugh every time I see it.
  • Thanks! It cracks me up too!  And yeah, TTC is a total mindfuck. That's why this board is so great. I suggest participating in the WTO and 2WW threads. It's a great place to vent and get advice about your chart, symptoms or whatever.

  • Thanks I will! It is really nice to have the help of everyone here- If i asked these questions to my friends IRL they'd look at me with two heads. In fact, I told one of the PA's at my OBGN about charting and shit you not she said, "eeewww why would you do that"! Lovely.
  • What's "eww" about charting? Clearly, she doesn't know what it is. I explained charting to my H and he thought it was cool :)

  • Seriously! Instilled some real faith in me about the practice I go to. To make it even better, she looked at my wedding ring and said, "oh, you're married, I guess thats okay then". I left feeling... weird. I'm not really sure what she meant but professionalism was out the window.

My H also is curious about it all. I try to under share with him, I can never tell when I cross a line between wife and nurse.  :)
  • Agree Kate! I like knowing whats going on, but when I get anxious not being able to decipher. Guess I'll learn with time.
