Jack Newman Miracle Cream

Question.

So I hear this stuff is awesome and luckily my midwife prescribes it for my wimpy nipples (we have a bad latch that we are working on).

But anyway. Two days into using it (about 3 times, not after every feed), my nips are in more pain when feeding.

Anyone have a reaction to this or something? I see no physical indications of a reaction but it's just odd.

Re: Jack Newman Miracle Cream

  • Any chance your LO has tongue tie?  I dealt with tongue tie with DD#1 and once it was corrected (clipped) the Jack Newman's All Purpose Cream was my savior to healing quickly.

No reactions to the cream for me.

No one has ever mentioned tongue tie. Would I see it if it was there? What do I look for?

The cream didn't work very well for me. I heard it was supposed to work wonders in the first 48 hrs, but I used it for a week and my nipples were very red and irritated. I stopped and switched to coconut oil and this has worked better for me. Not sure if it was a reaction or if it just didn't work well, but it certainly wasn't a miracle cream for me.
  • florassecret  For us our LC noticed it and a Pediatric ENT confirmed it and clipped her frenulum.
