How did you conceive?

I mean besides the obvious method of some guy dropping his load on you and then fingering you. :-)I know this is a more TTC board question, but I'm bad at making new friends. Plus, I'm nosey about you all.
I'm sitting here during the waiting period before I take my test wondering, maybe there are things I could do that I'm not thinking of.With K, we just used my period to track when I might be ovulating, dtd in the am, and keep my butt up on a pillow afterward for 15 min. Yes, so romantic. It took 3 months of trying before a BFP. We are now on month 5 of trying for another and no luck. I've started using OTK and hoping it will help.
Sooo....if you were trying, what strategies did you use to get knocked up, cause this lady wants another baby!!!

@MotherEFFingKatie‌ don't feel bad. I feel awkward too with a friend of mine whose husband also had a vasectomy reversal. They have been trying for two years. When we got pregnant, it was awkward. I agree family history I'm sure plays a role.
@CGMB‌ I looked at the website a few months ago and honestly forgot about it. I really thought I would get KU easily again so I never went back.Thanks for the reminder. I just bought the cheap OTK with the two purple lines. I'm going to invest in the digital ones next month if I need to.

I got pregnant the first try too, so we weren't doing anything specific. I remember thinking that we'd try for a few months and if we weren't pregnant by then, we'd take action.

I got pregnant by having sex every other day when I wasn't on my period, and then laid on my back with my legs in the air afterwards.

On accident/if it happens it happens. I had stopped using the nuva ring about 9 months prior because I wanted to feel my body without it. We avoided midcycle for a while and then pretty much said oh well.

Like @MotherEFFingKatie‌ I feel guilty talking about it but I am another fertile myrtle.

We didn't really try for DD. We were christening our new house and DH just decided he didn't feel like wearing a condom and of course that one time was enough to do the trick.

With DS I had my mirena removed. I hadn't had a period since before I got pregnant DD so I had no way of tracking my ovulation other than temping which I had no clue how to do. We just DTD every other day and I got my BFP a couple weeks later.

We got our BFP after our fifth month TTC. Strategy was simple really, DTD around the middle of my cycle. The last month I bought an OPK and used that to time intercourse.

I was worried we would have TTTC due to my severe Endo, but we were both very happy and relieved that wasn't the case.

We DTD when I saw the smiley face on my OPK and a couple days afterword =] Took us 2 months. Oh and I had been off my Nuva Ring for about 6 months.

We got married in Oct of 08 and I went off BC that month. We wanted lots of babies right away. It took until June 2010 cycle for a sticky bfp. I temped and charted every cycle. My ob referred me to an re but I didn't go.

Dh was so upset and didn't want to acknowledge we may need help. I had just convinced him to go on jul 1 2010 but got my bfp jul 3 2010!!!

For Ds we started TTC around the time DD was 10 mos so Jan 2012. Got my bfp Feb 28 2013 a few days before DD second bday.

I wish I had seen an re when we didn't get pregnant sooner. I feel like if we had, we would have more than just our two little kiddies. Obviously there is no way of knowing and I wouldn't trade my babies for the world but sometimes I think we could have tried for one more if we hadn't waited so long.

I'm sure this is over sharing, but some people can tell they are ovulating by their vaginal discharge. I saw the signs and told DH we were playing with fire, but we were not preventing, not trying and we went for it and got lucky. I hope we can do the same when we are ready to try again this fall.

Weird as this may sound, I always knew when I ovulated because I had pain in my ovaries, but I am pretty sure that was due to adhesions.

Thanks ladies. It's funny how many years of my life I spent trying to avoid getting pregnant, now that I'm old, it can't happen soon enough. Off to Amazon and TCOYF I go. >:D<

I could tell this way too. I also always feel really fantastic when I'm about to ovulate and really crave some lovin $:\$ "> I know this sounds weird, and it might just be in my head, but men treat me differently when I'm about to ovulate. It's very odd.

Cervical fluid and mittelschmerz (pain around O time) are secondary signs and shouldn't be used to indicate ovulation on their own. Plenty of women have one or both and don't ovulate that cycle.

For one I take a large dose of metformin for my pcos. Per my dr. We dtd every other day when I was suppose to be ovulating . It took us 5 months .

With DS I used the ovulation kit the last month trying, we tried for 3 cycles. I charted my basal temps, which is what ultimately I followed and it worked. With DD, I finally weaned my DS from BF when he was 14 months old and got pregnant the very next month (charted basal temp as well). Oh - and I feel a pinching pain when I ovulate - each month it's on a different side at around 14 days...I now know it's go time within two days of that pinch

I charted BBT and used OPKs the month we got pregnant. It was the perfect timing for potential due dates for us, so I wanted to increase our odds that particular month and it worked great.

We tried (by tried I mean we didn't do anything to prevent and I elevated my hips a lot after sex) for 5 years. During that time we had 4 deployments between the two of us.

We were not trying we it happened. We were getting separated and it was just convienence sex. DH pulled out. Just previously I had gotten a Pap smear and was on antibiotics for a UTI. I swear the dr reset my cycle and that's how it happened.

Years before I had a bad reaction to the depo, which I blamed for my infertility(completely unconfirmed). I've had three miscarriages. One before and two with DH.

I used a period tracker and made sure we DTD around the time the app said I was ovulating. Took us a couple months before we got our BFP.

FET, but I suppose that's not helpful to you.

Read TCOYF if you don't know how your body works. That's where we started, temping and using fertility monitor.
