It's Starting to Feel Real

I had my 12 (or 14) week appt today. It went well, and I got the go-ahead for my thyroid test after I told the NP I was falling asleep on the floor at 11am playing my DS. She seemed...concerned about that. Ya think?!  Couldn't pee in a cup to save my life, though.  I don't do well under pressure.  :-S  I had a UTI once, and I couldn't give a urine sample.  Seriously.  It's that bad.

Anyhoozle...the NP gave me the packet to pre-register for my hospital stay. I just pulled the website up and for some reason, it kind of hit me. Holy ish, I am having another baby. And, like...soon.  And I feel like I have so much to do.  Ack!

I don't know why hearing the heartbeat or the two ultrasounds I had already didn't feel as real as registering for the hospital. Guess I'm just a weirdy.

  • I have less than 8 weeks left and a vampire baby trying to claw her way out from the inside. It still barely feels real.

Guess I should get some of the newborn baby crap done... Like the bassinet.

  • @lilsebastian‌ I just started my every two week appointments, and it didn't hit me until I was in the hospital the other day. We haven't really done much to prepare yet, but MIL offered to buy DD2 a crib, and my coworker wants to throw me another shower (she threw my first one too). I'm telling people not to buy me anything, but knowing my coworkers, some of them will probably bring something.

I think not being able to provide a urine sample is a medical condition. I worked in an industry that drug tested employees and there were guidelines on how to handle those situations.
