Amelia was scoped!!

I'm sorry, I know you're all tired of Amelia talk.
If you recall, I changed her trach and decided to keep the trach out for a minute to see how she does and she did so well! I told her ent that and he plugged his ears. Haha
Leading up to this appointment, I was so stressed and nervous. My stomach was in knots. I didn't care if they said she would need the trach for a couple more months, I just didn't want to hear that there was no progress.
They stick this awful probe up her nose and down into her airway, they need her awake so she will cry and they can see her vocal cords movement. I almost screamed out load when I saw BOTH moving! We had only hoped for one to come back(the right side) but both came back! This means she won't need the trach forever, or need any repair surgery! They weren't moving to their full function, but they we re definitely moving! They wanted to wait 3-6 more months before another scope, but the ent doc put his finger over her trach and she kept breathing. SOOOOO, we will get a call on Monday to schedule her decanulation! It will be another 3-4 weeks, but I can handle that!! Thanks for all the sweet words! If everyone can think and praying for even more improvement from now until then, so she can pass her tests with flying colors and come home trach free, that'd be awesome!!
This w as her hiding behind her daddy's arm, because she didn't want anyone to touch her!

Amelia has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. She has had 3 open heart surgeries, 1 g-tube surgery, and one tracheostomy. She is the strongest, most precious little fighter.

I just worry that people get burned out on Amelia stuff. I try and keep my Amelia talk to a minimum. This, though, I HAD to share.
BTW Amelia updates never get old we have to know!
