STTN Fun

Sooooooooooooooooooo LO was doing some on again off again sleeping through the night a few weeks ago (aka 6 ish hours straight). I decided maybe putting her in her crib instead of P&P would help her sleep longer stretches. It sorta did but not really. Then I discovered her Pampers Baby Dry diapers that were working wonders would end up soaked after 3-4 hours, hence maybe why she was not sleeping well either. Soooooo I put her in a size up last night for sleep and her crib and she slept ALMOST through the night at 5.5 hours. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTT she decided wake up and play time was 2:30AM. HUH? I am so ready for this not getting a lick of sleep thing to be over.

Re: STTN Fun

  • Yeah, i wish i could tell you it ends soon. But then there is teething, and night terrors, then bad dreams. I dont anticipate sleeping through the night for a very long time.

HAHA. WOW! 20 MONTHS @lurchbaby!?!? Holy heck. Now I hate the people who rave about their baby STTN so much more. I had no idea it could take that long. OY!

  • I stopped bf lo1 at 16 months cause I was pg and he was still nursing in the MOTN. I was exhausted.
  • DD STTN but sometimes decides to wake up in the middle of the night to play. Not often, and she's teething right now and... DUN DUN DUN... Has pink eye. :( so... Sleep is not going to be happening for at least the next couple days

DD is 15 months and has been STTN for several months now for the most part.  I, on the other hand, usually wake up at least once during the night because of low blood sugar.  When I get up I check her diaper and change her while she sleeps, if needed.  I can't remember that last time I slept 8 hours in a row but it's not really DDs fault.  Perhaps you'll get lucky.  Until then keep it on auto-pilot.
