Finally Diving In!

Hi Ladies,

I've been lurking for a while, well since August. Eek. But finally deciding to dive in. I am a FTM and finally feeling like a Mom now and ready to connect with y'all!

Our son was born 4/16 and we are having the most fun being parents! We live in Arizona now but I'm a born and raised Colorado girl. I work for a marketkng agency and am luckily able to work mostly from home.

Thank you ladies for all the advice and laughs over the last almost year! (Holy cow... Time flies!)

    Second FFFC: I find it so weird that people are creepy lurkers for a year before saying anything. That's a long time to hide. Maybe it's just my blabby personality thinking it would be hard to stay silent all that time. You must know specific details about a fairly large number of us and we have no idea who you are. (Yet another reason why people don't know too much identifying info about me).

    Yep, I know it's long enough to def earn the creeper status! I lurked long enough that I felt awkward starting to say things, but the past fews weeks there's been several posts I wanted to be a part of, so I finally decided to bite the awkward bullet and come out of hiding. 

    I've never honestly had a huge interest in forums or internet boards, but there's something nice about being able to connect with other Moms. I didn't think it was something I wanted to be a big part of, until my son was born and now I'm realizing I'm part of this crazy sisterhood of being Moms.

    We all need a lot of help and support (and validation and shoulders to cry/moan/bitch/whine on...) so I'm surprised it took you this long!

    @sivanitski‌ I totally understand where you are coming from. I just departed lurker land a couple of weeks ago and it feels good to finally be unveiled. Risking the feelings of awkwardness was a small price to pay for the ability to participate. Probably one of my biggest regrets from this pregnancy is that I didn't get involved in the community sooner. I didn't realize just how much I needed the support as a FTM and I regret not being able to lend that same support to other mamas. All that to say, I'm glad that you are here and I look forward to interacting!
