Any one has this problem? My lo turned 4 months old last week. He has been bottle feed nothing change. For past week almost every feed he turned away got cranky and started crying and pushing his body until I force the bottle nipple in his mouth he then begin sucking .. He also eating less 2-3 oz then he push the bottle out and refuse to eat. I only can put him to sleep in drowsy state or sleepy state then insert the bottle in his mouth and he start eating again
It is very exhausting.. I don't know what is going on? It seems like he only eat when he sleepy.. Otherwise he is pooping regular I have not change any formular or bottle brand.. Please help

Re: Cranky and crying with feeding

  • It sounds like reflux to me. This happened to us a few weeks ago. LO was eating just to satiate major hunger, then refusing to take more because of the pain from reflux. Is your LO arching his back or acting like he's in pain? If so, I'd suggest contacting your pedi about what you might do about reflux.

  • Have you switched to a faster flow nipple? Also it sounds a lot like DS2 when his reflux was really bad. It started between 2-3 month. Meds have helped so much and using Similac Spit up. DS2 only had issues during feedings and didn't spit up and slept fine at night.
