Parenting after 35

Wendy water works!

Holy Lord Motherhood has made me into a big fat SAP.  I by nature pre-kids was not a crier.  Don't get me wrong I have empathy out the wazoo and things tug at my heart strings but it took a lot for me to cry.  Not so much anymore!  I work with preschoolers and we had graduation yesterday and my eyes welled up with tears when I saw them all in their little caps and gowns  it wasn't even 5 min into the ceremony.  it was RIDICULOUS.  Then our principal was talking about 2 of the staff members that are retiring and I almost lost it again.  Then today since it is the start of my summer vacation, I was able to attend my nieces and nephews end of the year program and again was on the verge of tears.  I need to get a hold of myself LOL.

  • I cried earlier this year going to Kindermusik with my DD. So I feel you! I'm a lawyer, for God's sake! I don't cry! But she just seemed so grown up... Sniff sniff.

  • I've always been a crier. What can I say, I'm a sensitive Pisces! But holy batman, since having M I tear up over EVERY. LITTLE. THING. Just the thought of something and I'm welling up. Like yesterday, I was thinking about how she's going to be walking soon and this thought came into my head that someday she won't be little anymore and I won't be able to cuddle with her. I almost ugly cried.

I think my hormones are outta control at the moment but I also know I've been forever changed and my heart is going to hold on to even more than it used to.

  • I was never a big crier before kids.  I am a little more sensitive now but still don't cry much.  I do get lumps in my throat and my eyes well up though.

I've always been a crier.   Now, with lack of sleep + hormones in the mix, I teared up reading about your preschoolers in their caps & gowns @geeps2!  Geez!  Maybe I should get off the bump and go take a nap.
