Hold me, people.  Wait.  Don't hold me, because I think I've got HFMD.

My hands have felt itchy for two days.  Not really itchy, but just tingly.  Now there is a purple spot in the middle of the palm of my right hand.  Dear Lord, please let it just be a random spot and not the beginnings of HFMD.

Could it be possible to get it without getting a fever?  Or maybe my mommy superpowers have made me really good at ignoring when I feel like pooh because I have to deal with the little people who feel like pooh?

@DC2London get in here and tell me what happened when you came down with it.  Did you get spots?  How did it start?

I'm going to have to burn my house down...

    Maybe I'm being paranoid.  I don't know.  I never worried about getting it until my sitter got it and now every little tickle or bump has me feeling like I have it.  I'm going to assume this spot is just random and try not to freak out.  I can't afford to be down all of next week.  I have too much going on!

    OK, DC, I feel better.  I'm so sorry you had to go through that, but hearing how awful it was makes me think I would have a fever or something if this is related to HFMD.  I have extremely pale skin and anemia, so I have pinpoint bruises all the time.  I'm hoping this tiny purple spot is just something like that.  Time will tell, I guess...
