Friday Check-In

How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about?

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day?

I'm feeling ok today. My blood sugar was obnoxiously high again this morning, but I'm going on a walk with the dog in a few minutes. That usually helps bring it down fast. The swipe card locks on our neighborhood gym got fried in a storm earlier this week, so I haven't been able to get in there to workout. I have a checkup at the OB later this morning.

I live in theme park territory in Florida, but the only one I get regularly excited about is Busch Gardens, for the roller coasters. My husband won't go on them with me, though. I'm excited for the new Harry Potter stuff at Universal Studios, too. We're planning a trip there with my dad and step-mom when they visit post-baby in November.

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about? I am doing a combination of great and exhausted! My dad had his heart surgery Tuesday and is doing so well. I had to go out of town for work Wednesday, so I am excited to get back to see him tonight! Work, however, is kicking my butt. I have so much on my plate I am about to cry. It will end...eventually.

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day?

I went to Harry Potter Workd at Universal about a year ago and I loved it!!!! I can't wait to get this baby girl hooked on the magic and take her some day!!!

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about?  Feeling ok.  Slept great, back is a little better today.  Super excited that it's Friday!

Hmmm......  Not sure I have a favorite.  I live about 30 minutes from six flags which is convenient but after a couple years of season passes, it all gets old.  I have always liked Kings Dominion, but haven't been in about 7 or 8 years.  Of course I've been dying to go to Disney for about 10 years.  Once Nemo gets here and gets to be about 7 or 8 we will go as a family.

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about? I have no complaints for today. I'm doing pretty well. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon so hopefully I continue on that path :-)

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day? I loved Disney World. We always went to theme parks when I was younger, it was an easy thing for my parents that my younger brother and I would definitely like. I would LOVE to go to the Harry Potter at Universal. Jealous over here!

How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about? DH felt FE kick last night for the first time!  I think he was shocked by how strong it felt and that it wasn't just a flutter, it was a serious jab.  The fact that they are jabs is  making me wonder if I'm mistaking something else for kicks, but I've never felt anything like this before, and the location is rather consistent.

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day?  I'm not a huge ride person because I get motion sickness from basically existing.  Epcot & Magic Kingdom are probably my favorite theme parks.

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about?  Feeling good today.  Glad it's Friday, although when I first woke up this AM, I thought it was Saturday.

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day?  I'm not a huge theme park fan anymore, although I LOVE Knoebels, which is a small awesome park in PA.  They have some good wooden coasters, the food's amazing, the lines aren't long, it's wooded, and you can pay by the ride (free admission to the actual park!).  I'm going to be a little sad this summer not to really be able to go on anything.

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about?  Glad it is almost the weekend!  We got our first gift off the registry yesterday and I am super excited out it - a wall mounted diaper organizer for our cloth diapers.  The thing is 36 inches long and about 24 inches high.  Only downside is that it only comes in natural (as it is originally designed for day cares), but it will be so useful for storage that I can deal with it not matching.

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day?  I like theme parks with a variety of rides (not a fan of roller coasters).  I grew up in TX, so we would go to Six Flags (over TX) every year.  DH loves Kings Dominion but as that is mainly roller coasters, so after the first year I tend not to go with him.  If we have the time, we like to make a long weekend out of going down to Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) as they have a good mix of rides.

  • How are you doing today? Anything to rant or rave about? Good, DD woke me up early today, I've been taking naps the past 2 days. Pool today though, not sure that I'll get to squeeze in a nap. We did buy bottles last night and a binky holder thing that clips on to them. It was a savior for DD but I don't think the new DS would appreciate a pink and purple one.

I work all weekend... NOT excited I hate my job, I couldn't even IMAGINE having to go to it more than 3 days a week.

What is your favorite (or favorite type of) theme park? Or if you don't like theme parks, how would you rather spend a day? I LOVE rollercoasters, the thrill rides definitley.

Doing good today.Found out last night my brother is driving to WI from LA, so we will have house guests tonight.  I took the day off to just clean, clean, clean! Feels good to get the house in order after things have been so out of order the last 2 months with renos, and I am excited to see my bro and my 3.5 year old niece!

Pretty good today, it's Friday!  My manager is out today so it's nice and quiet (he's super annoying).  Looking forward to a pedicure tomorrow and seeing a Shakespeare play in a park in CT tomorrow night.

I like anything with crazy rides!!  6 Flags is close, and they have good rides, but I went to Universal a couple of years ago, and I have to say they have some really awesome rides.  I also agree with PP that the Harry Potter area is awesome!  I waited in line for Butterbeer of course, delicious.  I can't wait to take my daughter to Disney someday!
