worst car seat usage I've ever seen!

It literally turned my stomach!
So there I am with my girls at the store getting a couple things I needed to make Butterbeer cupcakes. We head for the check out and I cringe when I see a infant seat in the kids seat part of the cart. When we get closer I see a baby, probably a toddler actually, who is beyond way too big for the infant seat asleep in the car seat. We're talking the kid's head is a good 2" ABOVE the shell and feet are hanging out mid-calf! And then I see his straps. They are so loose that one side is hanging off the shoulder around his elbow and the chest clip is around the level of his belly button.
I'm pissed at myself for not having the balls to say something. It's the worst bad car seat use I have ever witnessed! How can people be SO oblivious to their child's safety? !

After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!

I make homemade caramel by melting 2 cups of sugar with 1Tablespoon water on medium high heat in a large sauce pan. Stir constantly until the sugar is completely liquefied. Then add 12 TAblespoon unsalted butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir until butter is melted. Remove from heat and slowly wisk in 1cup heavy whipping cream. Let thicken for 5 minutes. Then put in squeeze bottles for decorating and refrigerate. Set aside at least 1/2 cup of the caramel for the frosting.
Make your favorite white cake recipe. Bake as cupcakes. Then cut a chunk out of the middle and fill with caramel after cupcakes are completely cooled!
Next make your favorite vanilla buttercream recipe and add the caramel you set aside and mix well! Drizzle caramel over the top. Ta da! Really caramel cupcakes that we pass off as butterbeer!

2. I get so angry about car seat issues as well. Last week I had to run into Wal-Mart to pick up something. Not my ideal place to go, but it is across the road. They now have these things on the basket like a base that the carseat snaps into. Well, a lady just had her kid in there like it was the carseat. It had no straps. I explained to her and she was nice about it although she left the kid in there.
