After last week's "love yourself lovefest," were you any more forgiving of yourself or proud of something you did? I hope so

This week there's no rhyme or reason.

P is for pride: what makes you feel proud? (In a good way, not like too much pride and you have egg on or face)

M is for mantra: what saying/phrase/lyric(s) help you get through tough times?

S is for surprise: what is something your LO(s) does that makes you stop and do a double-take??

P- proud of being able to cook dishes out of my head. My mom taught me this over the years and I can turn any leftovers into new meals, figure out soups from scratch, and many other things. However, I never quite remember what I did... So we never really have the same meal twice in a row, unless I have a recipe, and I have a small trapper keeper of recipes that is use.
M- our high school football coach used to have us all repeat this everyday "I am Somebody. I will strive, and I will persevere, and I will win, because I am somebody!" It might sound cheesed, but I think too often we think "this won't work, I suck," that just saying this out loud, even as he challenged us to have this be our first words in the morning- can change your whole outlook on the day. Start of me being a morning person, 18 years ago!
S- DD will pick up her small table (about 18 inches high 2ft wide) and raise it above her chest to bring it in main part of living room yelling "OH BOY OH BOY! PLAYDOUGH!!!" Sets everything up lol. Pic doesn't do it justice, I barely caught her lol

P- I'm proud of my education (first gen college student)

M- Hah, does SSDD count?

S- Lately it's been her artwork. My DH is an amazing artist and clearly she's taking after him. There's a reason I work in IT.

P: I am proud of my resiliency. Not just in my IF struggles but other stuff. Like, in my 20s I had a traumatic event happen and I fell in a dark dark depression that led me into a hole of eating disorders and other bad things. By the grace of god I pulled up my BGPs and climbed out of the mud. Went to therapy, went back to school and got my nursing license. Rekindled relationship with DH and Changed my life for the better. I look at where I am now and am astonished I was EVER in that place before.

M: "you have to have dirt days in order to get your flowers " Sometimes I still struggle with this when I'm feeling really down and out but it rings true to me. I don't understand why some of this shit happens but I have to believe it's for a greater reward.

S: Earthquake Kellen makes me do a double take every damn day. One day he's ripping furniture off the wall, the next he's relocated the coffee table into the kitchen. And then he's putting his whole arm through the screen door like its Saran Wrap or something. This kid leaves havoc in his wake. I am screwed.

P- being true to myself makes me proud :-)

M- living everyday to the fullest....oh and Everyday I'm Hustlin'

S- DD does so well at cheer. Flying in stunts and being on the verge of getting her back handspring. DH's is when he cooks.

Proud of my ability to keep moving forward through the constant shit storms, it's NOT easy and sometimes I feel like giving up, but I keep going.

What doesn't kill me, definitely makes me STRONGER.

She just recently started telling people "My birthday is July 31 and I'm gonna be 3 years old"! I love it! I can't get over how smart she is, she has full conversations with people, it's adorable.

Also, to make you smile I'll share this w you, sometimes dd will take off her shirt and pull her pants up as far as they go. Inevitably she will pretend she is mad (she likes playing emotions) and walk around yelling "Baby Mad!" With fists clinched, she is like a combo of baby hulk and this:

P is for pride: what makes you feel proud?
I am so proud of my little family. DH and I have a wonderful relationship and I think we are damn good parents. That is a lot more than I can say for a lot of people I know / am related to.

M is for mantra:
All bodies are good bodies
There is more to my life than this and I am more than this (this usually being infertility)

S is for surprise: Yesterday she saw the "day moon" out in the morning when she was "helping" me hang laundry. She asked me what it was doing. I told her it was hanging out until it was time for it to go to the other side of the world. She said "Can I ride it? Oh! Wait! I need a ticket!" she then proceeded to go pick a blade of grass and say "OK, here's my ticket. Mommy, will you hold me up so I can climb on?"

Also, the kid eats everything that's not nailed down. She's been like that for as long as she's been eating food but I never cease to be amazed at how much she can put away. She moves so much though she's still only in about the 5-10% of weight.
I'm seriously considering entering her in some sort of toddler competitive eating competition.

Momarazzi007 Maybe we should put them in a show together. The strongest baby in the world and the baby who can eat 4 times here weight in scrambled eggs.

Omg! My father had this shit on his phone for the longest time and he kept showing it to N, no matter how many times I told him to knock it off! For a while she walked around singing this shit, and I was so pissed.
