UPDATE #2 - Griffin had his breathing tube removed and is breathing on his own. But when he woke up he got super agitated and increasing pain meds didn't seem to help, so they gave him another medication to calm him down and he's asleep now. We're hoping he'll be happier the next time he wakes and I can try holding him and we can try feeding him, starting with pedialyte.
@RondackHiker we're ok. Pretty exhausted but happy the surgery went as planned.
UPDATE #1 - Surgery is finished. The team just wheeled him by to the recovery room. Surgeon came to tell us that surgery went well and should be curative. 'He probably shouldn't win the Tour de France but he'll be fine to do Division 3 lacrosse'

. The surgeon is 72 and as DH says 'this is not his first rodeo.' The team is getting him set up in his room and then we get to go be with him. Thanks again for all your support and I'll keep you posted!
