Drool rash!

DD is 12 weeks, and has a horrible drool rash. It's on her chin and chest but it's terrible in her neck. No amount of dabbing, drying, and bathing is helping. Any tips on battling this drool rash is greatly appreciated!

Re: Drool rash!

  • After washing, make sure it's really dry and cover it with Vaseline. It will protect the skin. Also, invest in some good drooler bibs. DS was a massive drooler from 2 to 12 months. I like apple tree boutique on etsy and I made a bunch using organic bamboo and PUL.

  • Aquaphor has worked wonders for us. Make sure the area is dry and rub some on.
  • I had this and it ended up being yeast. The dr prescribed an anti - fungal cream and it was gone in 24 hrs.

  • Thanks. Most bibs just don't fit right around her tiny neck.
  • After cleaning and rinsing, make sure it's very dry (air dry) and apply Lansinoh - it worked perfectly when Skippy was little, and it's okay for babies to get Lansinoh in their mouths.
