Update/Venting Session

Hey everyone! Its been a long time since ive posted anything or even been on. So ill start this venting session with a reminder of what was going on in my life. My uninvolved lazy BD and i have been battling it out in the court room, ever since i filed for support. He was only giving me a few bucks here and there which doesnt cut it when you have a little one to care for. After it was ordered that he must pay support he turned around and filed for partial custody. He was never there for my DS and honestly as sad as it is for me to say... he never seemed to give a shit. How someone can act like that towards their child i will NEVER understand. Long story short, fast forward to the present this is whats going on now. Weve been to court now about 3 times and have yet to come up with an agreement. He told his attorney he wants to give his rights up as long as i drop support but after his BSC mother told him no, that all quickly changed.(Even though he doesnt usually speak to her) His mom is a very long story for another time!  Weve had 4 stipulations made up and hes refused them all. i dont know what the f*ck to do!! He driving me crazy!! OH! and let me also say he hasnt seen his child since xmas time and stopped asking about him a couple months ago. AGAIN! How the hell can anyone act like this, especially when it comes to your child!? What is wrong with people now a days?! UGH!! Now the cheap bastard told his atty hes dropping the case because he doesnt want to have to pay anymore. Most people would be happy..i guess. Me on the other hand, not so much. Im dealing with crazys here and refuse to let there be any chance of something happening to my baby. So as soon as i come up with the rest of my retainer fee, we will be going back to court again. I just hope this all works out in my favor so i can continue to care for my childs best interests and well being.

    Whoa, fuck. Why do these guys think that they're paying to see their kids?? They're paying to help support a child that they're supposed to be owning up to, it does not mean they're buying quality time to spend with them!

    That sucks, I wish I had advice. Good luck to you, though. I know there are a couple people going through this, too, I hope they have advice for you...

    Thank you =) I will never understand why most men think the way they do. I actually have the stip signed stating that if he gives up his rights i drop support. Anything to give my DS a better life away from this creep. I was just waiting on his signature, which after awhile he said he was going to sign and then changed his mind again. I dont know whats going on but its not fair to DS.  I feel so guilty that i gave him this dipshit as a father.

    Isn't there an agency in your state that is kind of the go between between you and the judge?  Where I live we have Friend of the Court who basically works with both sides and makes their recommendation to the judge, if it even gets that far.  If both parties can come to an agreement on what they find acceptable you don't even have to go to court.  If both parties can't agree on anything, the FoC will make their recommedation and send it to the judge, who then makes her ruling.

    Im honestly not sure, I just go by what my atty does. That is something that ill have to bring up though.
