Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Kind of a travel question, kind of a sleep question

At the end of October my family is taking a 6 hour airplane trip (fun! not) overseas.  My daughter will have just turned 1 by then, and while I anticipate the travel time to be kind of nightmare-ish, was just wondering if anyone has ever done this and how did baby adjust to the time difference?  It will be 5 hours ahead, and we're only staying a few days... 2nd question is if it was hard to get baby back on their usual sleep schedule once you were settled back in home? She's currently almost 9 months and since 2 months old has slept thru the night from 630-630.  I don't want to mess this up!!!

  • We've done a few trips to the East Coast - just a 3 hour time difference.  Little Man has adjusted okay, we just kept him up later and let him sleep later in the morning and just watched his naps.  After an early morning the first day back to the West Coast, he adjusted fine.
