Iris, Calla, or something else entirely?

We have our boy name picked as Jude Alan, and a girl we both really love Iris and Calla. I realize they aren't everyone's style, but is also want to make sure they aren't completely terrible. So what's your opinion? Is one outstanding better than the other? Open to suggestions! Maybe it'll help us find a middle name too.

    I like both Iris and Calla. I'm a fan of plant names in general.

    Violet
    Magnolia
    Ivy
    Clementine
    Olive
    Sage


    Non plant names:
    Willa
    Stella
    Ingrid

    Love Iris! DH vetoed because he's an optometrist :(

    Calla is just meh. I think I feel that way because it leads me to the possible nn Callie which I have always felt was a little trashy.

    I think Iris Grace is really pretty but Grace is so overused.

    I have liked Willa for a long time. Iris Willa would sound so pretty!

    I really like them both, I guess I slightly prefer Iris but they are both so pretty.

    Both lovely! Iris feels open, clean and snappy. Calla feels warm and elegant. I give slight edge to Iris because I just like that fresh feel it has but if you like something a little softer and more rounded then I would go with Calla.

    Another vote for Iris! I feel like I hear Calla a lot (whether in full or NN form).  Iris is just gorgeous and so underused.  I also love Astrid.

    Astrid is so nice! The Office ruined it for me though. I love that show lol

    Magnolia is gorgeous! I'll have to ask my husband about that one. Azalea is also so pretty.

    We're having a girl and naming her Iris Jane. In our case, Jane is a family name though.

    I prefer Calla,l maybe bc every Iris I've known has been an older woman. I've never met a Calla. It sounds lovely.

    My hesitation with Iris is that it may sound "too old," and my hesitation with Calla is that it may sound "too young." :/

    Everytime I see Iris I read Irish and I have no idea why.

    That said it is a beautiful name, though I prefer Calla.
