ikea cribs

in Nurseries and Baby Gear

anyone have (and like) an ikea crib?  Do you know if it fits a standard crib mattress?

Had planned on using DD's Graco brand crib for baby # 2, but found out it has been recalled as it was a drop side model :(  I don't want to spend a ton of money on a new crib, and like more modern designs so i thought of ikea.

    Graco should have a repair kit for the crib, should be free of charge and easy to get through customer service.

    I have 2 ikea gulliver cribs. I like them both. I prefer ikea cribs with a slatted base, not particle board.

    we bought the gullivers for our twins. they have not been baby tested yet but they seem fine and weren't too difficult to assemble. They fit the sealy soy foam core mattresses that we got.
    Me - 35. DH - 40. TTC #1 since 9/2010. 
    IUI #1-2 BFN
    IUI #3 BFP = C/P
    IUI #4-6 BFNs
    IVF #1 Lupron and Gonal F: 29R 29M 28F
    2 blastocysts transferred 12/14/13
    Beta at 9dp5dt = 285; Beta at 12dp5dt = 925
    It's twins! EDD 9/2/14

    We have an Ikea crib and love it. As PP said, I have a Sealy Soybean Core Foam mattress and it fits perfectly into our Ikea crib. We rare very happy with the quality, and price!

    IKEA cribs take standard mattresses. The first one we bought we had to take back to BRU because when I measured it, the mattress was off by a couple inches. My advice is to take a measuring tape to the store to avoid the hassle of having to return.

    Those with Gulliver cribs... did you order them online? I can't order the white one online, and have checked several times. wondering if it will come back in stock or should I look elsewhere. I'm nowhere near an Ike a store.

    It does that to me too, then when I enter shipping location info, it tells me it is not avalibble online. I will have to try again...

    ETA: Just ordered it! Not sure why I was having issues, but glad I checked again.
