It's been a weird week. We found out that our social worker at the adoption agency (she matched us with DS) passed away from cancer. She made our life a living hell for 6 months, but she also gave us our beautiful baby boy. I was very worried about her having our paperwork/file in order, especially being so close to finalization. I got a call a few minutes ago from the office mgr saying we have a court date for finalization at the end of July, which is about 3 months earlier than we expected. I didn't think much about the finalization because he was ours at birth, but now that it's here I have all the feels. I can't believe this crazy, scary, thrilling, terrifying, beautiful journey is coming to an end. A very happy end! The fact that our names will be on his birth certificate is overwhelming to me. Just wanted to share my excitement and happy ugly tears :)
