Ok mommas, the 4th of July is nearly here and so I want to ask some opinions about fireworks.
A town in my part of the county puts on a huge fireworks display. When I say huge, I mean HUGE. Like there is an entire committee of hundreds of people that spend the entire year planning this event. They get the newest, biggest, best fireworks and coordinate them to music and put on an hour long display. It's the most amazing fireworks display in the world! They host it at the lake in town, the fireworks are actually shot off in the middle of the lake and spectators gather around the entire edge of the 2.5 mile lake. H and I never miss this event.
But what about this pregnancy? I'm planning to talk to my doctor at my appointment a few days before the event. I know I've seen very pregnant women there before and all the research I've tried doing I don't see anything that says it shouldn't be safe.
But this event is just so HUGE I need to make sure it's safe for baby. This isn't just 2 or 3 loud booms. This is an hour of some of the newest and biggest fireworks out there! You literally feel your chest boom along with the fireworks...it's actually a really crazy feeling.
So I'm just worried...is it safe for baby? Like I said I've seen pregnant women there before, but I'm not willing to go just by that fact alone!
What do you all think?

Re: Fireworks
like I said it's hot so you have to drink plenty of water and it's crowded so if you have to pee the port a pots usually have long (at least 15 plus minutes) wait before you can go.
Good point! We sit in the same spot every year, which is near the funnel cake stand...a weakness of mine. Luckily, it's close to an exit gate that has port-a-potties right there.
As for the heat...yeah that might be a decision come day-of. I definitely won't want to be out there if it's 100 degrees.
Thanks, everyone!
Now I'm feeling like this was a really stupid question to ask since everyone seems to be pretty confident that it's perfectly safe
