So since December it has just been one thing after another. Everytime something went wrong i tried to brush it off and move on but as soon as one thing go resolved another thing happened. We had a ton of issues in December (we live in MI), the bladder tank for our well went out, $800 repair. A week later a snow storm caused me to go in the ditch which at 20 some weeks pregnant required extra doctor visits, and then a huge ice storm hit which knocked out our power, fried our furnace, fried our hot water heater, and made life generally difficult for the next month. Said Ice storm caused a 911 call and a visit from the fire department. and around $500 worth of things to fix around the house, not including the yard clean-up that had to happen this spring.
Twice this spring we have come home to "mud" coming out of our faucets. Both times it resolved pretty quickly but it was VERY frustrating at the time! And merited visits from the plumbers... more $$ literally down the drain.
Then the day after we got home from the hospital with our LO we got a bill from the fire department for coming to our house in December! $630!
Then at 3 weeks pp the main drain from the house was clogged with tree roots and we had to call someone to come and fix that, another $300.
Then last night on our way home from dinner with my parents our car crapped out. The brakes locked up and we had to get it towed! After two nights of very little sleep (LO is having a growth spurt) I am stuck with DH and LO on the side of the road in the middle of no where at 11:00 at night! Thankfully my parents were willing to come get us and drive us home, even though they live 2 hours away! Oh and the Lady on the road side assistance had the nerve to tell DH that since the tow truck only seats two extra people and we had a baby that we should just hold the carseat on our lap!
Poor DH, I have become so cynical lately, just waiting for the next thing to go wrong! I just want to catch a break for a little bit now that LO is here! Emotionally I cant handle anything else going wrong and our budget certainly cannot take any more!
If you read all that you deserve a cupcake whole cake! Thanks for letting me vent!
