I know there are several ladies with this issue but I haven't read much about it lately on here. How do you correct this problem? I pumped one breast today as I'm going out for dinner and got over 4 oz in only 5 min. Poor baby still chokes, my milk sprays, my letdown hurts, and her poops are green and mucusy. I had not been pumping for about 3 weeks in hopes that my supply would even out (I was EP before to let my nips heal so not in addition to feeding). Any advise?
Kellymom has good info on this. She mentions block feeding where you feed on one side for multiple feedings before switching to the other side. I did this with success with my first. (Sorry no link...not sure how on mobile.)
@ns1 did you feel very engorged/unbalanced so to speak doing this method?
Yeah, until things evened out. The point is to let the milk in one side build up so it triggers your body to produce less. So you'll likely be engorged for a little bit...one side at a time.
