Oh. My. God. - re my 2.5 yr old

edited June 2014 in April 2014 Moms
We took the paci part off my son's wubanub tonight...the paci fairy brought him a present that he loved, but when it was time for bed...he didn't go down until 930,he woke up at 11 and then woke up just now. I'm feeling like this is the biggest mistake of my life. Edit: to finish my post, premature posting courtesy of my ipad

  • It'll get better! Paci graduations are hard no matter when they happen, but definitely harder if they happen after a year old. I forced kiddo to give his up around his first birthday for this very reason. Hang in there and stick to your guns! No paci relapse!

It should get better soon. Don't give in! It took DS about 3 days worth of nap/bedtime before it wasn't an issue.

  • If it doesn't improve after 3 days then I'm giving it back, I already told my husband (we'll see though). But my older sis said the same thing - 3 days and her kid were over it. I just honestly have never seen him this upset over anything so far in his 2 little years of life...and this is a kid who got stitches from a fall on the playground...of course he had his wubbie to comfort him then :(

Last night he was up and crying about every 2 hours...and our 3 month old DD slept from 9pm to 4am. If she hadn't I don't know what we would have done.
