June 2014 Moms

~~~Still Working~~~
It's been a while, but I wanted to see who is still going to work.  My maternity leave was slated to start this week. Since I'm in the over due club, I came to the office.  Productivity is low, but I'm here.
What about you?
    I'm still here! My last day will be next Thursday, if my boss leaves me alone and stops trying to get slapped with every word he speaks (he does it on purpose, because he thinks it's funny)! Induction date should be 6/27
  • I'm due the 23rd but the 27th will be my last day before overdue induction. I'm lucky enough to work from home when I'm feeling awful though. Hoping I don't have too much longer!
  • I'm still working!  I cut back from 12 hr shifts to 8 hr shifts last week and my last shift is Thursday of this week.  I'm Due the 23rd and decided I just can't work past that.  I'm a nurse so I work on my feet all day.  The day after I work I feel like I've been hit by a bus.  Sucking it up now so that I can have as much time as possible with baby once he arrives.  Good luck to you all still working full time!
  • I'm still working too! My doctor thinks I'm crazy but I don't care. My last day is Friday (a couple days before my EDD) unless baby girl arrives sooner. Hang in there fellow working mamas!! xo
    I'm still working. and will be until she gets here.  I really don't know if I'm being very productive but I'm here. I hope every night for her arrival so I don't have to come back. lol!
  • Still working.  Won't stop until someone comes out!  Its busy season, and my co-worker told me she made a donation to some charity which promised blessings, so she is pretty convinced I'm going way overdue.
  • I'm still on the grind. I am working up until I deliver and I am not due until June 27th but setting my mind on being a week late, or July 4th.
    Sitting in my exercise ball every day at work to try to get outta here earlier but not holding out hope.
  • My work was nice enough to let me work from home for the past 3 weeks (and up until I deliver) since my commute is about an hour and I didn't want to be so far from the hospital just in case.
  • It's good to know I'm not alone!  Way to go for all the mamas that get to work from home!
  • I'm at work.  I'm a nanny so I don't get any paid time off, and I would have to take care of my daughter anyway.  I would much rather be at home (especially at times like now when I am contracting), but financially I just can't stop because I want to.
    Went into the office for the last time today and working from home tomorrow before my leave starts wednesday. Can't wait to be done- days have been crazy training my backup.
    @whoberry‌ you're my hero, I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and 40week 3 days at induction and idk how I'll make it until then!
  • You ladies are awesome! I couldn't do it, I stopped a week before my c/s. You all are seriously amazing!
  • Oh golly, you ladies that are on your feet........saints, the lot of you! I wouldn't be able to do it.
    Hubs and I run our own business, I work in the office and (as I Monday Bitchfest-ed earlier) am hiring and training a replacement for my assistant......probably up until I go into labor. I remain cranky about this fact.
    Also, the chair I sit on at my office always makes my feet swell. Boo.
  • I will be working until the day of my induction this Thursday. I didn't want to spend any time sitting at home waiting!
  • I agree completely with not wanting to waste anytime before LO arrives.  As much as I hated going in on Monday, I made it through the day.
    I'm still working. Today is my due date so hopefully I will be done soon.
  • 39 weeks and still working. Forcing myself to work until she gets here. I would rather spend my time off with her although I know my productivity is lacking haha and I have no motivation. The girls keep trying to send me home but I refuse. Due date is the 23rd so we shall see what happens next week!
  • I'll be working until I deliver also. In the same boat as many of you, not sure how productive I am. But I figure standing and walking all day has to help! I think I'd go stir crazy if I was at home waiting for her to arrive.
    38 weeks 4 days. Still working and it's tough. Retail this late in the game really sucks. I hurt everywhere and I'm exhausted.
  • Anyone else getting daily emails saying, " I can't believe you're still here!?!" or "No baby yet?". They are all placing bets on I'm sure.
    Yes, I'm working from home, so they all email me asking for status every morning! lol My office already did their pool and only one person guessed after my due date, so he will probably win since I'm already 1 day late.
  • Still working as well. 39w1d My office is on the way to hospital so I'm half way there and have plenty of people to help get me there if I need. I'm still training this college intern to fill in for me while I'm gone. Not enjoying it though. Trying to be understanding that she's only a college student but I wrote out and detailed everything for her and she just isn't cutting it. Too late now I guess. I keep saying I'm going to work from home but I can't seem to get myself to. Sucks when you're the only one that does your job and no one else has a clue what you do.
