Let's talk diaper bags

We were all set on the Skip Hop Bento until we received it & realized it wasn't as deep as we thought & online people complained about it falling over. So, back to the drawing board...

What have you had that you liked/disliked?

My TTC Journey:
Dx: Hypothalamic amenorrhea / mild PCOS (Pretty much a hormone/ovulatory disorder)
Progesterone to induce period w/ the goal of Clomid - never got period (September 2011). Referred to RE.
Femera - never responded to the meds (December 2011)
Clomid with TI - BFN (February 2012)
Injectables (Menopur) - hyperstimulated/canceled (March 2012)
Injectables #2 (Menopur) with TI- BFN (May 2012)
IVF - OHSS (transfer canceled), but 11 frozen! (June 1012)
FET - 1 transferred on 8/09/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 350.3; Beta#2: 365; Beta#3: 157. Biochemical pregnancy.
FET # 2 - 1 transferred on 11/01/12. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): 337; Beta#2: 769. BFP!!! 1st ultrasound 11/28/12 showed heartbeat, but measuring 5 days behind. 2nd ultrasound 12/05/12 - miscarriage.
FET # 3 - 1 transferred on 1/24/13. Beta#1 (11dp5dt): BFN.
FET # 4 - 2 transferred on 3/21/13. Bet #1 (11dp5dt): 660; Beta#2: 1,300. Miscarried at home @ 6 weeks.

FET # 5 - 2 transferred on 7/12/13. Beta #1 (10dp6dt): BFN.
Attempted an IUI in late August 2013, but didn't respond well.
IVF #2 with PGS - Stims started 10/28 with retrieval on 11/11. Of 14 mature eggs, 10 fertilized, 4 made it to Day 5 & 1 made it to Day 6. We did PGS on the Day 5 embryos, and 3 of 4 were normal. Had ET on 11/17. Beta #1 (8dp6dt): 203. Beta #2 (10dp6dt): 618. We since had two ultrasounds & on 12/19, our RE released us to the OB. On 1/02/14, we had our first ultrasound with the OB where we heard the heartbeat. We are so thankful for the blessing & crossing every finger & toe for a healthy & successful pregnancy.

I also have a PPB Boxy Backpack and a PPB Weekender. I love PPB bags. They're pricy but totally worth it.

  • I have the Skip Hop Duo. I currently use it for my 2 girls (ages 2 and 4) and there's still room for when baby #3 arrives.

  • Storksak Olivia. I love it!
  • My OiOi Carry All and Hobo bags. My other bags including a Timi and Leslie are just black holes of stuff. The OiOi bags have the perfect amount of pockets and a great easy access layout that make them my go to bags. The Carry All is perfect for 2 in diapers as well. They also last forever.

  • I have the Kate Spade Stevie

I'm not a fan. It was fine when DD was tiny but once I had to put stuff in it, it became a weird heavy duffle bag that constantly falls off my shoulder.

I just carry a large Longchamp bag and shove her stuff in it. I'm just glad I got the Stevie at the outlet and didn't pay full price for it

  • Ditched my coach. I love the PPB boxy. Just got it for the new babe and have it all packed for the hospital. I love it already.

I also have a Vera Bradley and like that one as well. I like the organization of the PPB though.

  • I have a Vera Bradley one. I like the fact that it can be put in the washing machine. My sisters has used one for years and hers held up well.

  • I have a diaper bag obsession. I have used...

Vera Bradley microfiber black baby bag - nice and roomy for the newborn days. Easy to clean (plastic lined interior).
Vera Bradley Get Carried Away Tote - giant bag! Great for all day outings. Tons of pockets.
Timi & Leslie Charlie II - stylish bag. Odd packing configurations with it being more tall than wide. Heavy bag.
Petunia Boxy Backpack - not a bad bag but not my favorite. Didn't love the vertical packing. Seemed tough to get to things I needed.
Petunia Weekender - another giant bag. Love the pockets/ expandable sides. I use it now for all day outings and as a carryon when we travel.
Kate Spade Stevie - chic bag - love that it looks more purse like than diaper bag like. Didn't like how floppy it was.
Longchamp Le Pilage Large Tote - started using this when DD required less stuff - moreso like a purse with a JuJuBe diaper pouch in it ;)
JuJuBe Be ZIppered Tote - current bag in rotation (with the Le Pilage). Love the pockets and pattern (First Lady). Lightweight but is well made.

  • Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, I'll add that I love my JuJuBe BFF. I haven't found another bag that opens up like it does and I love that I can see everything inside it. It's not super deep either so I'm not piling stuff on top of other stuff. I do wish it was like an inch or so wider. I looked at the Be Prepared in person and it was just TOO big to carry around. Speaking of, I also like the backpack straps on the BFF. I never thought I'd really use that feature much, but I'm on a trip now and it was really nice to have the option in the airport/other places where you need your hands/arms free.

I have the Marc by Marc Jacobs Eliza baby bag in black and LOVE it! It's plenty big and has lots of pockets. And, when it gets dirty you can throw it in the wash! Love it!!!!
I have this bag in black as well. It seems to be popular. I know quite a few moms who have used it through 2 kids, and it has held up nicely. I wish it was slightly more organized, it can be a bit of a black hole. Sometimes I think it is too large and encourages me to carry too much stuff around. That being said, overall I really like it!

I have the "Preppy" version of this bag, in the Cement color, and I LOVE it. https://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main/ProductDetail.jsp?PRODUCT<>prd_id=845524446571342&site_refer=GGLPRADS001&cagpspn=pla&CAWELAID=500002830002627115&catargetid=500002830003805840&cadevice=t I CD, so needed something roomy, and this is perfect. Also, I will have 2 under 2 very shortly, and I feel I have plenty of room to add baby sisters things. Glad to hear they hold up well, I've had this one for about 6 months and so far so good. Prior to this, I used the Timi and Leslie Dawn tote. Great bag, just a little small for CDing. Perfect for one kiddo in sposies, though!
