Yup, 4 months until we kind of sleep trained at 6 months. She has has a bad night here or there since then, but nothing had such a dramatic change in her sleep patterns as the 4 month regression.
SS LO has never slept through the night and a 3-4 hour stretch is reason for a celebration in this house. At some points it was every 60-90 minutes, but I don't remember exactly when that was.
I'm not really sure if it was a sleep regression. He definitely went through a phase around 4 or 5 months were he woke up a lot, but never wanted to eat and always went right back to sleep when we gave him his paci. He was still being swaddled and had no way of self soothing with his fingers. I blame some of that on us for keeping him swaddled so long! He's had bad nights here and there but overall I was blessed with a good nighttime sleeper. Naps are a whole other story!
4-6 months. I think it had to do with the fact we moved to a different state and were living with the in laws at the time who keep the house freezing and he was sleeping in a small portable crib. He just couldn't get a good nights sleep there, but when we got into our house & he was back in his own crib he started sleeping through the night again.
Her 4 month regression was pretty minor (only a couple of wake ups for a week or so) compared to the hell that was around 6 months. Combine 4 teeth cutting through, a stomach bug, the holidays, and a growth spurt and she started waking up 4-6 times a night for a month. That was when I finally threw my hands up and sleep trained.
We are super fortunate to have a power sleeper. She's slept through the night since three months and took three naps a day up until about two weeks ago and now she's down to two. I definitely count my blessings with this one after reading horrors about some of the little ones on here.
We're going through a regression right now. From 0 to about 10 months, she was fantastic. There were a couple rough nights inbetween of course, and around the times when she was teething but nothing this bad. She's up maybe every two-three hours. Sometimes she needs a new diaper, is hungry or both. Sometimes she just thinks its time to wake up. It has gotten a little better the last couple days but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I remember googling "baby sleep regression" at one point, but I don't remember when, so I guess it wasn't that bad? Or is that the pregnancy hormones making me forget...?
Re: Sleep Regression
Between 7-9 weeks and between 7-9 months. I think I have PTSD from the last one.
